ExplodingBlock, This games sold better in Japan than in European countries. And for sure Japan is more west than you think. Music, movies, games - they love ''dark'' and mature things even more than Americans which like ''kawaii'' more than Japanese. US is more childish. I am a big fan of metroid but to be honest, I never undertood what's so special about the prime ones. My favorite is Super Metroid. I have enjoyed all the 2D ones. In fact, I have played all the 2d ones countless time. The Prime series just once. I guess it's something I'll never understand. Message | Report |

I didn't feel like this was a Metroid game until I got to the Phendrana Drifts. When I got there I was just awe struck by the graphics, the music, and the atmosphere. Great Game. Message | Report |

I loved scanning everything. The work done on this game and Zelda: Wind Waker taught me once & for all not to doubt Nintendo. I was worried how Metroid would work in 3D & they pulled it off. Message | Report |

I was slightly dissappointed with this when i first played through this, the second time on hard I quite liked it, the 3rd time through on hard I realised that I actually love this game (strangley enough this is a pattern all of the prime series has taken for me). this is probably my favorite Metroid game but then MP3 and Super Metroid make that choice so hard. there is something quite special about this though, kinda like the transition of the Zelda and Mario series into 3D, producing arguably 2 of the greatest games ever made (OoT and Super Mario 64 respectivley). I honestly think Retro have followed suit in producing what can easily be argued to be one of the finest games ever produced. Message | Report |

For me this is by far the best gamecube game and easily one of the best games ever.i had never played a metroid game and i did not know what to expect form this game but from the first time i put it in my gamecube i simply loved it.the change from 2d to 3d first person shooter simply reinveted the rules of making a game look geat in the new 3d era.but this game did not stop only there.it took every aspect of the old games,improved them,added new,and it achieved to become an experience that everyone who plays videogames must see.the most impressive thing in this game besides the first person perspective that was perfectly mixed with an adventure game,the amazing is the awesome level design that made gamers always feel that there is something new that is waiting to be discovered or seen.the amazing visuals and sound and the great atmoshephere of the game just brought to lif one of the best games ever. best play control on the cube, period. still haven't played prime 2 :( one of the best *huzzah* moments in all of video games was when you scanned the final boss and it said "metroid prime"...and you're like "ohh ahhh of course!!! i get it now" Message | Report |
