@guy below me: that's not irrational at all!
L.C.E.C. (on 12 April 2010)
I wanna wipe my ass with the cover for this game I hate it so much.
AntonioDan (on 30 March 2010)
How this piece of shit can get more sales than No More Heroes 2
juniorain (on 22 November 2009)
3 and a half million. lol The Wii userbase rocks.
spectre (on 28 July 2009)
It's important to note that this game only costs $10, which is a small price to pay to keep one's kids pacified for a few hours.
valen200 (on 08 July 2009)
Sweet buttery flapjacks, this is impressive and depressing all at once.

Hammertime (on 26 June 2009)
jesus...it's going to get 4 million now!
Roy03 (on 17 February 2009)
the guy on the boxart looks funny, maybe he causes this kind of sales lol
10 bucks is a good price point too
highwaystar101 (on 04 February 2009)
This game is complete waste of time, I've played better games on an Atari 2600
Omega_Phazon_Pirate. (on 11 January 2009)
@ David, unfortunately, shooters aren't that big on Nintendo (I hope The Conduit changes that). I'm glad Corruption outsold 3 million.
Kenka (on 07 January 2009)
Next year, it will soon outsell worldwide sales of some 2001-2005 Madden on PS2.
SnowFlow (on 05 January 2009)
How is this even possible? Do a lot of stores bundle it or something?
DavidValbu (on 30 December 2008)
Oh my god! Are you telling me that this game is going to reach 3 million? Metroid Prime 3 only sold half of it.
Oyvoyvoyv (on 20 December 2008)
This game rocks!
palancas7 (on 15 December 2008)
You guys have to remember that this collection of mini-games costs £10!!
Worth the price if you have fun playing it...
Crystalchild (on 30 November 2008)
this game is awfull.. and the sales too -.-
SaviorX (on 10 November 2008)
It won't...stop...selling.......
Vas-y (on 14 October 2008)
Somehow I'm scared of the man on the cover.
joe_shannon (on 09 September 2008)
Carnival Games is kicking the living hell out of Metroid Prime 3 and Okami.

Just pounding them.
trestres (on 30 August 2008)
2 million *sigh*
joe_shannon (on 28 August 2008)
Carnival Games is a machine that keeps on selling.

2.0 million is right ariound the corner, with no signs of slowing down.
MontanaHatchet (on 18 July 2008)
Claude: I think ioi decides the publisher on the charts, must have been a mistake...
ClaudeLv250 (on 17 July 2008)
Why does this say Namco Bandai on the charts all of a sudden?
Erik Aston (on 02 July 2008)
Can't blame ioi too much, though. I believe ELSPA has Carnival Games at 200K in the UK alone, and NPD has it at 1M in the US.

So it's possible NPD overestimated sales for Wal-Mart and TRU in the US, and furthermore the game didn't play very well in the rest of Europe compared to the UK.

And now the game has been adjusted down.
Chrizum (on 18 June 2008)
Indeed, this game is grossly overtracked. It probably is around 1.4 million, which is still too much. :-P
Erik Aston (on 07 June 2008)
Take-2 has the game at 1.5M shipped through the end of May.
Erik Aston (on 18 April 2008)
Roy03,

Not a sequel, but they are "extending the brand" with Carnival Games: Mini-Golf.

I'd guess that's the surest bet for a million-selling golf title on Wii, though there could be several this year.
Roy03 (on 16 April 2008)
Carnival Games 2, here we come >_>
Strategyking92 (on 14 April 2008)
OMG! IT WILL OUTSELL BA!
Erik Aston (on 11 April 2008)
Check out this comparison.

Will this game sell 3M copies? More?
Strategyking92 (on 09 April 2008)
thanks for it re-surging .......europe.......
*Yoshi* (on 01 April 2008)
Wow!, this game never stop selling!
Leni (on 29 March 2008)
that's good!!
and no japan data
Renar (on 07 March 2008)
What this shows is that a decent (for its genre) game will sell to causals that are on the Wii. Developers will have to realize that there are a lot of Wii owners that want games that can't be found on the X360 or PS3. They don't even need to be AAA (which would raise the price of the game anyway), just decent and fun.
MontanaHatchet (on 29 February 2008)
Can't wait for this to outsell Metroid Prime!
Explosivo (on 27 February 2008)
Actually, I bought 300k copies just to so that you would be wrong.
Best million I ever spent!
NintendoTogepi (on 25 February 2008)
I was wrong...hmm, sales seemed to be staying at like 200,000 when I made my comment. How did they go up so much?
MontanaHatchet (on 15 February 2008)
plz:

ioi randomly adjusted the numbers by about 300k.
famousringo (on 12 February 2008)
I take a perverse glee in watching this game sell well. I like to imagine a hardcore gamer crying into his pillow while his sweet Gaming goes out and parties with a bunch of casuals.
plzdontbanme (on 12 February 2008)
MontanaHatchet says:
Also, you have to remember that back when I posted that, the game was hovering around 200k sales and not moving at all.

For a game that was hovering around 200k and "not moving at all" it sure reached 1 million quickly!
Roy03 (on 12 February 2008)
Of course it is no game everyone needs to buy but it is sure that it is a game you can buy to have some fun with 4 people.
It's not that bad some of you might think ;)
Sherlock99 (on 11 February 2008)
this horrible game did not deserve to sell this well.
highwaystar101 (on 11 February 2008)
I bet this games cost £10 to make... I could have made this
madskillz (on 10 February 2008)
I have always said this game rocked - and knew it would be a million dollar seller one day. This game is the bomb - and hi Brianna!
Brianna (on 09 February 2008)
Its because a lot of video games take time to sell. Where movies will stay in the box office for a couple of weeks or months and just fall off.
valen200 (on 09 February 2008)
with it's original opening few weeks, it really didn't look like it was going to take off at all. Same with Mario and Sonic, both games started slow and picked up steam.
MontanaHatchet (on 08 February 2008)
Also, you have to remember that back when I posted that, the game was hovering around 200k sales and not moving at all.
MontanaHatchet (on 08 February 2008)
I like being proven wrong!

It's hilarious stuff!
yoshiboots (on 07 February 2008)
wow cant believe it is already at 1 mil.
Kasz216 (on 07 February 2008)
What if I already own MP3, No more heroes AND MoH H2 and also enjoy Skeeball?
coonana (on 07 February 2008)
ok every hardcore gamer who bought this should buy a copy of a really hardcore game like Metroid Prime 3 or No More Heroes or Medal of Honor: Heroes 2. SERIOUSLY this is lame.
--OkeyDokey-- (on 06 February 2008)
montana gets owned on every game profile.

anyways, i'd rather put whale poo in my wii's disc slot than this garbage.
StarcraftManiac (on 06 February 2008)
NintendoTogepi says:
I love how everyone went "OH NO THIS GAME IS GONNA SELL MILLIONS WII IS DOOMED" and according to this it's sold only 110,000 units (which is probably enough to break even on the game, oddly)
Posted on: 10/16/07, 09:38

---

It sold a million ^^... And you got owned ;-)... I know your post is old but it's still so darned funny!
StarcraftManiac (on 06 February 2008)
stedaman says:
Your missing the Whole this hasnt been updated at all. It's sold far more than it states here. I'd say 1 million.

MontanaHatchet says:
Pfft, 1 million, oh please...
Posted on: 10/24/07, 04:07

MontanaHatchet got owned... But i know, it's sad how this crap sells 1 million whilst Zack and Wiki and No more heroes are struggling to get 300k Ww.
kirby007 (on 06 February 2008)
and 3rd LOLZ
kirby007 (on 06 February 2008)

weezy (on 06 February 2008)
This game reminds me that I gotta take a shit right now..
*Yoshi* (on 05 February 2008)
Another million seller!

Very good!
Parokki (on 05 February 2008)
So.. any of you guys feel like having some crow? I've got a bunch left from my Uncharted predictions. =P
pichu_pichu (on 05 February 2008)
another wii million seller
anyone happy?
Mnementh (on 05 February 2008)
MontanaHatchet says:
Pfft, 1 million, oh please...
Posted on: 10/24/07, 04:07

*eg* Now it looks like the game reached that mark. MontanaHatchet is always extremely funny on the game site. Same with Mario&Sonic. He made fun about the idea that title could sell 4m, and now it is well on it's way.
Kasz216 (on 05 February 2008)
Wow. Hah. I still want this game, ever since they closed down the local skee ball palace. It's either this or Chuck E Cheese.
Faxanadu (on 05 February 2008)
The way this game is going, it will probably hit 1.5 million, maybe even 2
Roy03 (on 05 February 2008)
Carnival Games ftw
valen200 (on 05 February 2008)
Wow, the european data has been posted. Holy crap, 1 million.
Me (on 05 February 2008)
Wow Carnival games is pretty much in the Wii million sellers club - it's invite is pretty much in the post.

Who'd have thought it
Joeron (on 05 February 2008)
Another million seller ^_^
Erik Aston (on 04 February 2008)
Holy crap! I never checked this page to see that some data was missing. Almost 1M sold!
xstonexcold316x (on 04 February 2008)
wow.... almost a million dang
Komodo (on 04 February 2008)
Almost everybody picks up this game at £14.99 in the UK, its always one of the top sellers on all the online retailers top selling games. (Amazon, Play etc)
Tavin (on 04 February 2008)
MontanaHatchet says:
Pfft, 1 million, oh please...

It's so fun to read this comments now, this game will be a million seller next week :P
Hyperion (on 04 February 2008)
Wow!!! I was just commenting on how this game was most likely a million seller by now, and by golly, I was right!
tokilamockingbrd (on 04 February 2008)
omg... Million seller with NA data...
Metallicube (on 04 February 2008)
my cousin bought this game and said it's actually pretty fun. It's like a wiisports knockoff with lame kiddy characters instead of miis.
ctk495 (on 30 January 2008)
no i this game doesnt deserve this sales
MontanaHatchet (on 26 January 2008)
No thanks, I might choke on a beak again!
*Yoshi* (on 24 January 2008)

OriGin (on 23 January 2008)
Crow Hatchet?
Zucas (on 23 January 2008)
Yea goo for this game. With Europe/Other it migh be platinum. I mean hell shipments for America have to be around 650k-700k. And in Europe/Other it has at least sold 200k going off the chartz from the other sources. I mean would be nice if it went platinum.
Brianna (on 23 January 2008)
It might be a million seller with European data... omg NO >_
Vanadium (on 16 January 2008)
Oh sweet jesus! White font on a pink background? Colour me blind.
valen200 (on 09 January 2008)
The game is fine for what it is: a budget party game. I like it, but don't think it is spectacular.

And the reason where there are no European numbers is because that data can be very hard to track down. I did my own websearch (often for "Carnival funfair") and couldn't find any solid numbers. ioi has far better resources than myself, but I imagine it is still difficult to find. A conservative estimate is that it is at least 500 to 600k WW. Inital reports said it sold well in Europe, and casual game have been doing very well there. Lately they sell better there than in than in the US. or at the very least almost as well. Look at the other party games on the Wii. The major ones all have strong numbers in Others.

If the final shipped number is ever released I expect it to be higher than many would think.
boulin99 (on 08 January 2008)
Whats wrong with this game? I think it's pretty fun. It's not like the sold it as a genre maker or anything
Hyperion (on 04 January 2008)
ioi, I need the European numbers!!! Pretty please?
dp666 (on 23 December 2007)
Worst game I played on the Wii so far. Even Wii Play is more interesting.
amp316 (on 17 December 2007)
This game is a marthon runner not a sprinter. It just keeps selling. It is a nice little party game by the way.
shrimpy_boy11 (on 11 December 2007)
wheres the european data? heard its doing quite well over there?
*Yoshi* (on 11 December 2007)
Sin duda, Carnival Games nos ha sorprendido a todos con sus ventas, en Europa será lo mismo y quizás llegue a ser un "million seller".
tokilamockingbrd (on 10 December 2007)
280k in US, and it is one of those casuals with legs... don't be shocked when it is realesed in Europe and we see it hit, 500k, then maybe 1000k
plzdontbanme (on 08 December 2007)
This game is really good.
Zucas (on 06 November 2007)
Well it's doing pretty well in Europe haha. I don't think 1 million but this could go over 500k easily worldwide.
MontanaHatchet (on 24 October 2007)
Pfft, 1 million, oh please...
stedaman (on 17 October 2007)
Your missing the Whole this hasnt been updated at all. It's sold far more than it states here. I'd say 1 million.
