Game Overview

Omerta: City of Gangsters is a simulation game with tactical turn-based combat, developed by Haemimont Games and published by Kalypso for Steam, Microsoft Windows, and the Xbox 360. Taking the role of a fresh-from-the-boat immigrant, with dreams of the big life, the player will work his way up the criminal hierarchy of 1920's Atlantic City.

Starting with small jobs, the player recruits a gang and expands his empire by taking over the territory of other gangsters through force and other means needed, eventually establishing their own crime syndicate and becoming the de facto ruler of Atlantic City.

@ girgosz - I think most 360 owners were
PS2 owners.

This has done pretty well for konami. 1
million plus sales on both ps3 and xbox
means they would have made quite a
profit.

pitzy272: Remember. Most of the
Playstation gamers have these games on
PS2(as me) so they're not that
intrested in buying them again for
almost full price. However most of the
360 gamers probably never experienced
one of the best games ever, so they're
curious.

I'm rarely one to claim sales are
incorrect on VGC, but I have a hard time
believing that Europe's sales for the
ps3 vs. 360 version are so close (0.17
vs. 0.13, respectively). The biggest
reason is that MGS is strongly
associated with the Playstation name.
Ontop of that, though, PS3 games tend to
sell better than their 360 counterpart
in Europe. Just sayin

Yeah when it hits about 1.1-1.5 mil,
Konami will probably make an
announcement. They can hardly complain
since HD collections are done really
cheaply (and in this case, really well)
