Even if it continues to sell for 2 more years I doubt it will hit 30m as I'd expect something like 2.5m then 750k. That would leave it short of the mark. |

My 3 roommates and I play this game religiously, 3 of us have 1 star ratings and one has 3 stars and were all above 8k online. The point is when we do 4 player FFA races on 150cc mirror with aggressive items, it becomes an absolute chaoitc mess of shells, wall hugging, carving corners and landing tight jumps while dodging bananas and shells. For the winner? ETERNAL GLORY, and the loser, SHAME. Seriously no game gets as much 4 player fun as Mario kart when everyones into it. |

You would think Nintendo being all about local multiplayer as well would be all over that, but the reason I don't play Excitebots nearly as much as MKwii is because you can't bring anyone online with you, or play against friends in worlwide races. Horrible IMO, MKWii should have set a standard! |

Also, people need to gtfoff Funky/Daisy. That all said though, this game is bigger and better than the black sheep that was double dash; though i got used to it, i found it's general gameplay a little too dodgy (no R hopping and trailing items, double item boxes, character exclusive items etc.). One can only wonder what'll be implemented into the next iteration of Mario Kart. Tricking ftw... |

So I mean this is amazing thus far. But yea 10 more normal selling weeks before Novemember with an average of 175k a week will add another 1.75 million putting it just another 9 million before holiday season. Then of those 9 weeks at least 6 of them with 225k a week and the rest at about 400k would put us at about 11 million by the end of the year which is simply ungodly. |

Also, one of the reasons this game has such GREAT legs is no one trades it in. Therefore there are no used copies ou there eating sales. |

After the not-so-positive reviews (especially Gametrailers's and some of the ones that gave it 6's) I wasn't too sure about the game, so my expectations weren't that high. When I first got the game, my brother wanted to go straight to online. At first I thought it was ok and fun, mostly because I didn't know how to play XD. But now that I can actually race and know the tracks/game a lot more, I find it very fun and addicting. More than once I have found my self saying, "just one more race" for 30 minutes or more! Anyway, great game. |

But then I actually starting getting good at it (Rol is right, it's not completely based on luck), and we had 6 people over playing it, and it was just a blast. Definite buy once I get enough money. I wasn't too good with the wheel though, which disappointed me, and then one of my friends who doesn't play a lot of video games (besides WarioWare and WiiSports) was totally destroying most of us regular gamers with it, so I think I'm going to go back to it, since now that I better understand the game, perhaps I'll do better with it. 9/10 from me. |

 | r4in (on 01 May 2008) This game is a total blast! My wife even enjoys playing this game. We have five people in our house wanting to play with four wheels! It is fun getting several friends together to play online and playing various other people online is totally awesome as well. So far, I think it far surpasses Mario Kart Double Dash and is almost as good/fun as the original. Well worth the money to buy it. We have over 30 hours of gameplay in since we bought it and are barely home that much. This might not be the "best" game out on Wii yet but very well could be the top "must have" game out. A rocking time for anyone who plays it. After playing this, I'm now seriously anxious for Mario Tennis to hit Wii. Especially if they take it online as well!! |

| Sky Render (on 30 April 2008) It's been a long time since I played a Mario Kart game... I couldn't stand the change to analog (not that the D-pad ever agreed with me in racing games), so switching to something as intuitive as an actual steering wheel interface was just what I needed to get back into the series. That aside, I'm having a blast with it. It's quite nifty how you can't get stuck in last place for the whole race if you keep messing up, but at the same time, you have to fight tooth-and-nail to keep first place. That's the kind of balancing that makes the experience a novel one, instead of a tedious and predictable one like most racing games end up being. |
