Summary

The game of Go for the iPad. You can comfortably play head to head with two people on one device, or log on to the IGS to play online against opponents from all over the world.

With a large display comes the ability to interact with an entire full-sized Go board without the need to zoom in, maintaining a consistent overview of the match. Tengen Go provides an immersive and realistic game experience comparable to a actual portable Go set, with simple and direct menus that get you started quickly.

Send match challenges by choosing an opponent from an indexed and searchable list of available players. You can also be matched with an opponent of similar rank automatically, when available. Getting into a match is as quick and easy as on a full desktop internet Go client, and playing by touch is a joy.

Observe and discuss live games with other players, including occasional broadcasts of title matches between top Asian professionals. To follow move variations other commentators are talking about, simply turn on the optional grid coordinates. You can learn new strategies by watching advanced players, all while sitting comfortably away from your computer. The large animated visuals and convenient rewind feature will ensure that you never miss a move.

Save records of any game that you play or watch, or make your own records of live games. You can then replay them at will, and even add your own commentary. Then, tap and hold on a record to share it via E-mail or using other apps such as Dropbox. You can also open SGF record files that others send to you, or that you find on the web via Safari or from other apps. Variation trees and diagrams are not supported.

Includes rich, original sounds and graphics. Each and every white stone has a slightly different stripe pattern, like an actual set of shell stones. And as in a real game, your move isn't final until you take your finger off the piece. Slide it into a new position if you change your mind, or simply pinch with two fingers to pick up the stone and cancel your move. Stone placement is easy and natural feeling, but if you make a mistake you can ask your opponent to let you undo your last move.

Supports both Japanese and Canadian Byo-Yomi overtime, with three different board sizes.
