This game proves that wii can be good for third party games.
GhaudePhaede010 (on 06 October 2012)
Very happy with the results of this title. And the series has grossed over 1 billion. Love it. Go SkyLanders!
atma998 (on 12 August 2012)
2 million!
curl-6 (on 09 August 2012)
So weird to see the Wii version of a multiplat released at the end of 2011 (that's not a dance/fitness game) outperforming its HD counterparts.
Kresnik (on 15 June 2012)
I wonder what Insomniac thinking of this.
ManciuD (on 03 June 2012)
is this "the new" blockbuster game for Activison?
if the next skylanders games sell better then this one then i smell yearly release and dlc for this series too
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 03 June 2012)
they are going up actually!? O_O
Hurleyfanboy (on 29 April 2012)
thank god the sales are going down :)
acdcste (on 25 April 2012)
How is that sad?
Hurleyfanboy (on 22 April 2012)
Its sad that this is selling better than mass efect 3 in ps3
oniyide (on 21 April 2012)
the game comes with little action figures, if that is not geared toward children I dont know what is (not that there is anything wrong with that)
pezus (on 15 April 2012)
I don't look as this as the Spyro series. It's completely different.
Hurleyfanboy (on 15 April 2012)
Wii version is hit
other versions not so much
Salnax (on 14 April 2012)
@Hurley But... the Wii version alone is the best selling entry in the series since 2002! And these games will keep selling for the rest of the year at least!
Hurleyfanboy (on 13 April 2012)
Skylanders is A HUGER FLOP!
5 games yet only under 3 million copies sold
Ps1 had only 3 games and they sold 12 million copies
Fededx (on 30 March 2012)
The Wii is not geared toward kids, that's the most stupid comment I've read in a while, congratulations...
oniyide (on 02 February 2012)
OT, its a game thats geared toward the kids, of course it would sell best on a system more geared toward kids
oniyide (on 02 February 2012)
@fedex ur Rayman comment makes no sense, the production cost was as low as it could be, considering it was supposed to be a PSN/LIVE game. Not to mention the WIi one is the worst selling version of the game
spurgeonryan (on 31 January 2012)
A while back. Still makes you wonder why 3rd parties just abandoned the wii like a sinking boat. It could push out more.
Salnax (on 20 January 2012)
When did this reach a million?
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 14 January 2012)
WoW, huge adjustments, hope they are correct, well deserved!!
atma998 (on 06 January 2012)
Next Wii million seller, might reach it next week...
fedfed (on 04 January 2012)
wow another million seller for the Wii in a months time...
Fededx (on 04 January 2012)
To me, it was kind of obvious that the Wii version would vastly outsell the HD versions, it happens with every action adventure game, look at the LEGO series... Ubi should have released Rayman Origins as a Wii exvlusive, it would already be a million seller for sure, and production costs would have been smaller.
atma998 (on 31 December 2011)
916k, will definitely reach 1 million!
spurgeonryan (on 18 December 2011)
wow this is much better than i thought, plus the figurines this did really well! glad the wii version did so well!
acdcste (on 16 December 2011)
Seems like this title is going to be a pretty strong evergreen title. Should keep selling well for a while due to the novelty factor.
Kai Master (on 15 December 2011)
France is 28% of European sales this week, I'm wondering why : is that a cartoon broadcasted in France and not in other countries ? I've seen figurines in video game shops, that's the first time since 1987 that I see figurines in video game shops !
TheDarkBender (on 15 December 2011)
Best selling week in Europe :)
acdcste (on 12 December 2011)
Good sales but its a little cynical for my liking.
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 06 December 2011)
yay!
Salnax (on 01 December 2011)
Those numbers shot up!
JulieDiRamio (on 09 November 2011)
skylander
Boutros (on 28 October 2011)
This will have legs throughout the Holidays.
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 25 October 2011)
last Spyro launched at 2.7k in US and 8.4k in Europe on Wii, seems this has a better fate, and hopefully EU sales will be higher 2nd week
spurgeonryan (on 25 October 2011)
Happy the Wii version came out on top! Lets hope sales can stay up through the holidays, or this could be a disaster on all systems its on!
spurgeonryan (on 17 August 2011)
I enjoyed my spyro from the PS days, its about time I try out a new one.
