This game actually didn't do too badly when you look at the performances of DoA 5 and 4, but it's a damn shame that Team Ninja missed the launch. I honestly think that if this launched with the system it could have sold another 100k.
DieAppleDie (on 15 October 2012)
this game deserves a lot more
probably undertracked
ganoncrotch (on 18 July 2012)
such an amazing graphical achievement on a handheld, this is even closer to the xbox360 versions of dead or alive than the port of ssf4 is graphically speaking. well worth the money if you are looking for some fighting action and street fighter isn't your bag or you've already played it on the consoles considering this game is actually a new title with full movie campaign going back through the story of all the games in the series, whereas ssf4 is a port of the console version straight up.

I've played the demo and this game is really enjoyable. The use of the touch screen to display moves on the fly really helps with the shortcoming of the 3D fighter genre by not requiring you to memorise so many different strings per character. They all show up on the fly in your bottom screen. I will definitly get this at some point in the future and it deserves more sales.

How is VGCHARTZ undertracking this game by so much? Pretty sure it was confirmed the game sold more than 310,000 copies months ago.....
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 01 April 2012)
what a great game, never though it could be this good, only realised when i played the demo on eshop
Skyer888 (on 12 November 2011)
Game oficially sold 310,000 worldwide.
bmmb1 (on 11 November 2011)
Probably undertracked - earnings report says game has shifted 310,000 .
Salnax (on 25 October 2011)
If Street Fighter weren't in the midst of a second golden age, this might be selling better. As it is... meh sales, but it should keep selling a few thousand a week at least until Tekken comes out and the holidays end.
menx64 (on 16 October 2011)
nice game, my first DOA and I liked a lot.
IamAwsome (on 03 October 2011)
The fact that SSFIV launched with the 3DS may have hindered this game, an Tekken coming soon won't help it either.
ryuzaki57 (on 18 September 2011)
really good game : graphics & animations are amazing (I didn't think 3DS could do that), deep gameplay... a must-have on 3DS!
Venox2008 (on 06 September 2011)
great game, I recommend it to any fighting fan, it's a lot bigger than any Dead or alive game with story splitted in chapters, nice graphics, a lot of moves, great gameplay, Wi-fi matches, lots of characters.. come on guys just buy one of the best 3DS games already! :)
Crona (on 28 August 2011)
Just bought my copy for $20. Cannot wait.
MrT-Tar (on 28 August 2011)
Bought this the other day and I am loving it so far. I actually prefer it to SSFIV3D
oniyide (on 26 August 2011)
@salnax your overestimating the appeal of DOA, Tekken is way more popular, waay more. No matter what the DOA fans tell you. This game is actually pretty good though
ljlrj (on 09 August 2011)
mad cause waiting for my 3ds color to come out for this game
GupX19A (on 31 July 2011)
This is my favourite game on 3DS so it's sad to see low sales...
cusman (on 23 July 2011)
I bought my 3DS for Zelda, but surprisingly playing Dead or Alive - Dimensions more. Primarily because of all the quick play options including excellent online over wi-fi.
hammad280 (on 17 July 2011)
This game was sabotaged in EMEAA
Salnax (on 26 June 2011)
@Heavenly_King Douubtful. With the exception of the Dissidia series and that one Tekken game from '06, I can't think of any fighters that did well on the PSP. Although it's worth noting that the legs for Tekken were very impressivr, suggesting thsat this game will keep on selling for the rest of the 3DS's life.
NeoStar9 (on 24 June 2011)
I wonder what the development budget on this was.
z101 (on 15 June 2011)
Better sales than the DoA:Paradise for PSP
megaman79 (on 12 June 2011)
@Heavenly_King, I suppose that explains the sales for SSF43D, right?
Heavenly_King (on 11 June 2011)
this kind of games are not meant for a DS. That is why it sells so bad. If this is to be released for the VITA it will sell much more
gunslinger (on 04 June 2011)
Was this a soft release? I can't find it any of the stores where I live.
Potable_Toe (on 03 June 2011)
AS much as it is early on in the systems life this really should have opened more favourably... lets just hope the legs for this are long lived
Salnax (on 03 June 2011)
Not great, but considering the initial legs in EMEAA and how well DS games have done over the long term, a million still isn't impossible. THis is just not a system seller.
oniyide (on 03 June 2011)
what were people expecting this to sell?? 1 its not like the 3DS has a massive install base right now 2 the more popular SSF4 has already released and 3 the DOA series is not that popular. Not on the level of MK, Tekken or even VF
Pokemonbrawlvg (on 02 June 2011)
This game is alot better than what i excepted. Even better than Street Fighter in gameplay and story. Not saying Street Fighter is a bad game.
Last_Dream (on 29 May 2011)
Sales is not looking good. My first DOA experience and I can tell this games is great. It's deserve a better sales.
midorigreen (on 29 May 2011)
I've already picked up my copy, and it's a really great game.
icedoesnthelp (on 28 May 2011)
Much better game the Super Street Fighter 3D. Maybe its just because I'm actually good at this, haha.
ghik16 (on 28 May 2011)
3DS should have been released by this time. In june great games come.
mpereira (on 28 May 2011)
doad was only on sale for 1 day in europe
Salnax (on 27 May 2011)
All is not lost. Dead or Alive's biggest market is not yet accounted for.
Fab_GS (on 26 May 2011)
Horrible sales!
Chrizum (on 26 May 2011)
Something isn't right here...
Shorty11857 (on 26 May 2011)
Is this the preorders being tracked as sales again? This happened before
Kai Master (on 16 April 2011)
14k ? I think the game is on sale in Antactica ^^
Salnax (on 15 April 2011)
@TheConduit But... I thought the release date was May 26th?
TheConduit (on 08 April 2011)
Its only out in Australia. Seen it in stores and borrowed it off a mate
Zornica (on 05 April 2011)
that cant be true... its not out yet.
kanjitech18 (on 03 April 2011)
Europe got the game first? Really?
Salnax (on 31 March 2011)

--OkeyDokey-- (on 31 March 2011)
