atma998 (on 12 December 2015)
No 10M as JD3, but still 9.45M which is higher than games like Donkey Kong Country and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (X360). Still incredible.
atma998 (on 22 July 2012)
Now at 9.23M and next week JD3 will outsell it. Don't think it will reach 10 million but JD3 will certainly.
acdcste (on 25 April 2012)
It still never ceases to amaze me how well these type of games sell. Incredible numbers.
NiKKoM (on 13 March 2012)
so where is the adjustment?
TheSource (on 09 March 2012)
Just Dance 2 is a bit undertracked in North America too, NPD had 5.62m through February US only, we have 5.46m in North America one week into March. It's probably 300,000 higher. http://press.nintendo.com/articles.jsp?id=33057
NiKKoM (on 07 March 2012)
w00t 9 million!
Kai Master (on 20 January 2012)
Global is broken
atma998 (on 06 January 2012)
8.81M which means it sold 460k during the holidays. Will reach 9 million for sure, but I don't thnk 10 million is possible on the other hand.
atma998 (on 06 November 2011)
8.35M I wonder how much it will be after the holidays.
Faxanadu (on 08 September 2011)
@invetedlotus123: Michael jackson: The Experience anyone?
*Yoshi* (on 21 August 2011)
Unspected sales of this monster!!!, will reach 8 million this week, and is the most playable game in my house!!!
Kai Master (on 19 August 2011)
This game could beat SSBB if JD3 won't release too soon... amazing sales for a non nintendo game on a nintendo console !
invetedlotus123 (on 31 July 2011)
I think this game should be done with thematics. I'd like to have a Britney edition, it would be a first week for me.
TheDarkBender (on 23 July 2011)
Could hit the 8m mark before summer's over.
Salnax (on 08 July 2011)
Only another couple weeks until it becomes the best selling 3rd party game in Nintendo history.
spurgeonryan (on 26 June 2011)
Lets see how far the third game can go. Although I think it will probably be like the guitar hero games soon, and people will be tired of them, unless it is released around christmast.
Pavolink (on 24 June 2011)
One more week to hit 5M only in Americas. Incredible.
Gearbox (on 12 June 2011)
@primogen18 - well its because this game costs them virutally nothing to make and is a big cash cow. they figure they might as well get it on all consoles possible
primogen18 (on 11 June 2011)
This will flop HARD on other systems it's a wonder why Ubi is even trying to go multiplatform.
Salnax (on 10 June 2011)
Just a quarter million or so sales from being the best selling 3rd party Nintendo game of all time.
SmokedHostage (on 30 May 2011)
I do have to say though, this among other dance games seem to be the only games keeping Wii hardware afloat.
SmokedHostage (on 30 May 2011)
@SaviorX I'm sure its sequel will cannibalize its sales before it gets ~8.5 million.
SaviorX (on 27 May 2011)
Eventually going to make the Top 10 for highest-selling Wii games ever.
oniyide (on 21 May 2011)
i like this! More people buy this from UBI that means that they will fund the great AC series and whatever crazy crap they want, so people get to dance and others get to whack people all silent like, everybody wins!
Erik Aston (on 13 May 2011)
There are no better games on Wii for the job of having a dance party. I'm sure there are games which are a million times better for doing whatever you want to do, but clearly other customers have spoken that there is no better game for having a dance party.
primogen18 (on 29 April 2011)
agreed pizzahut, but this franchise is one of those evergreen franchises now.
Immortal (on 26 April 2011)
Oh gosh - this is undertracked, people! Nintendo has it at around 7.1m by the end of March in only US and Europe (though I don't know if Canada, Latin America and MEAA mean much for this).
pizzahut451 (on 26 April 2011)
this s fu**in ridicilous. There are million times better games on Wii that deserve these sales
Pierreism (on 25 April 2011)
NiKKoM (on 22 April 2011)
7 million! w00t.. don't forget to get the Ravving Rabbids DLC .. still free for a week..
Pavolink (on 08 April 2011)
Amazing. And I still don't have the game =/
Kai Master (on 13 March 2011)
could beat Smash Bros and pass 10M
Salnax (on 12 March 2011)
This is going to take at least a month or two to outsell MP8, but if legs continue, than M & Sonic will fall, and this could be the best selling third party game on a Nintendo system ever.
*Yoshi* (on 12 March 2011)
Bye bye Mario Galaxy 2...
Kynes (on 08 March 2011)
All I can say is people just wanna have fun!
yahoocom1984 (on 06 March 2011)
10 million lifetime
TheSource (on 05 March 2011)
300,000+ ($6m/week) on AVG for 20 Weeks. Impressive.
newwil7l (on 04 March 2011)
its gonna pass super mario galaxy 2 next week wow never thouht i would say that a 3rd party game would pass a mario game
Nintendogamer (on 25 February 2011)
Was this adjusted up?
AndyVA (on 25 February 2011)
6 million!!! WOW :o
hunter_alien (on 18 February 2011)
OMG insane week 10 sales :o
newwil7l (on 08 February 2011)
cant wait for just dance 3
primogen18 (on 03 February 2011)
terrible game? not your cup of tea, but that's not a reason to call it a terrible game. Also Dance Central on 360 passed the 2 million mark a while ago, it's not just Wii anymore.
SSurTails (on 30 January 2011)
Terrible game on wii with the keywords: party, dance, singing.... always sells a few millions
Smeags (on 29 January 2011)
Dang... this just outsold Just Dance 1. Incredible sales.
yahoocom1984 (on 28 January 2011)
can be 10 million seller
newwil7l (on 24 January 2011)
Better than the first and its selling alot quicker than i thought it would it blew dance centeral out of the water
NiKKoM (on 21 January 2011)
Tied with JD1.. :)
Cheebee (on 20 January 2011)
This outsold Wii Party within weeks. :O
TheConduit (on 14 January 2011)
axumblade (on 14 January 2011)
actually....Microsoft own the IP for Gears of War...So just Mario & Sonic (even if Nintendo have partial rights) and Just Dance....
axumblade (on 14 January 2011)
I predict by March that this will be the highest selling 3rd party exclusive of this generation....The only titles it has to take out are Gears of Wars 1 & 2 and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics and the original Just Dance (which this one has already almost outsold).
spurgeonryan (on 13 January 2011)
Well most of them do salnax, but a few like this dont need it. Anyways should be past the first one soon enough.
yahoocom1984 (on 07 January 2011)
10 million lifetime
Salnax (on 06 January 2011)
It's going to reach 5 million in a week or so. Wow. Just Wow. And I thought 3rd Party Wii games needed to sell over a long period...
NiKKoM (on 06 January 2011)
wow... just 6 days ago Just dance 1 was very close at 5m and this baby does that in 12 weeks..
atma998 (on 03 January 2011)
Is 10M LTD possible for that game? My guess is that 7M is very possible, after that it will depends on the legs on the long run.
primogen18 (on 03 January 2011)
just dance wouldnt sell like this on any other system IMO, the wii is the perfect audience. Dance central is doing well, but not just dance numbers
oni-link (on 03 January 2011)
lol...to all those who say Wii 3rd party games don't sell on the Wii...I say boooyahhhh how you like JD2 now?!!!!!!
morenoingrato (on 01 January 2011)
and people said it'll sell about 2mil lifetime and won't outsell the original (including me)
mzompicchiatti (on 01 January 2011)
@Bornyn: one of the strongest features in Just Dance is the fact that you can play with 3 players at the same time. Both PS3 and XBox "motion" systems won't support that. However, it would be a great seller on all 3 systems. But I stick with Wii Exclusivity!
Bornyn (on 30 December 2010)
Fantastic numbers.... Wait Just Dance 3 for PS3 X360 and Wii
Metallicube (on 30 December 2010)
I now see the power of this game's success through word of mouth. We were playing just Dance kids at my little cousins' house for christmas, and now my sister wants to buy Just Dance. It's actually a fun game, though I suck at it.
bigjon (on 30 December 2010)
JustDance is the only true breakout 3rd Party series on the Wii... sales wise...
Galaki (on 28 December 2010)
Explosive growth in "Americas" compared to JD1.
Immortal (on 24 December 2010)
Woah... 4.5m by 2011?
Christian973 (on 24 December 2010)
Ubisoft must be really grateful with these sales. Who though a game like this would be a critical success?
SaviorX (on 23 December 2010)
Week 10, highest sales yet.....and they are GINORMOUS!
Boutros (on 22 December 2010)
That massive ad campaign really paid off.
Faxanadu (on 22 December 2010)
Wow, impressive sales. 10 million?
TheSource (on 22 December 2010)
This sucker is a monster. Almost 70% of the performance of JD1 in 20% of the time.
Beuli2 (on 21 December 2010)
Highest week yet in EMEAA!
NiKKoM (on 21 December 2010)
3 Million! and I'm proud to say I'm one of them!
Reconnection (on 20 December 2010)
Nintendo must be killing themselves because they didn't come up with this. The first one was pretty fun. Probably getting this one for xmas, the songs look much better. Fireworks ftw. Bravo Ubisoft :P
Cheebee (on 18 December 2010)
Ubisoft must b pleased.
Iveyboi (on 17 December 2010)
I have yet to try this monster of a series. This must be such a cash cow. GJ
primogen18 (on 17 December 2010)
Nice avatar Beuli2, and get ready for 3 million very soon.
alexf10 (on 16 December 2010)
this game is awesome...had a blast last night playing it with some friends. girls are loving it....
Immortal (on 14 December 2010)
I still have a hard time believing I was wrong on the 10m prediction, :P. It's sure to do 500k/week at least once between now, next week and week after. Also, looking at its predecessor, this game's legs are looking to be pretty darn good!
Beuli2 (on 13 December 2010)
It is having it's best week yet in EMEAA!
Beuli2 (on 10 December 2010)
It passed 2 million!
kopstudent89 (on 09 December 2010)
Beuli it wouldnt sell unless nintendo or someone tries to publish it
Beuli2 (on 09 December 2010)
Ubisoft is being foolish for not releasing this in Japan.
primogen18 (on 08 December 2010)
there is alot of crap out there, I wouldnt call just dance one of them. It seems well made and there is some effort put into it, especially with the addition of features like DLC in the sequel. Just because it's a "budget title" and isn't something of my personal taste doesn't mean I don't have any respect for it.
Darkeagle (on 07 December 2010)
crap like just dance sells and really good games fail. pretty unfair. this will encourage ubisoft to produce more and more low budget crap titles. good work "gamers" ROFL
Pierreism (on 06 December 2010)
Just. Insane. IT PRINTS MONEY!!
primogen18 (on 05 December 2010)
this game is an utter failure, look at those first week EMAA sales and NOTHING ELSE
Immortal (on 04 December 2010)
If I didn't know any better, I'd think that this could sell 10m lifetime! ...Well, surpassing Just Dance lofetime shouldn't be too much of a problem, at least.
primogen18 (on 03 December 2010)
Great sales and a nice improvement with DLC, but the next one should have all of this and Motion+
NiKKoM (on 03 December 2010)
look at those Black Friday sales! Amazing!
Juma009 (on 29 November 2010)
Dude, expect this game to skyrocket in the charts considering the copies sold on Black friday weekend.
primogen18 (on 28 November 2010)
Slowing down in EMAA? 90k to 111k?
Metallicube (on 27 November 2010)
Nintendo must be kicking themselves for not thinking of this.
GianCarmen (on 27 November 2010)
Slowing down really, thats not what my eyes see.
NiKKoM (on 27 November 2010)
@Faxanadu.. how is it slowing when you have your highest sales yet in week 6?
MarioGalaxy (on 26 November 2010)
Dissapointing? 600k in 6 weeks only in Others seems you disappointing? How many games could do the same on Wii (and included Xbox360 or PS3)?
Faxanadu (on 26 November 2010)
Sales of this are slowing dramatically in EMEA. I mean it barely scratched by week 3 this week. Really disappointing.
Vas-y (on 25 November 2010)
My prediction: this game won't sell less than 200k worldwide until holiday season is over. 500k for its biggest week this year.
primogen18 (on 22 November 2010)
this thing is a beast, sorry dance central...
Nintendogamer (on 18 November 2010)
tops 1M and this is the Wii's 90th Million seller.
curl-6 (on 15 November 2010)
@Faxanadu: You're joking, right? it'll most likely get to a million NEXT WEEK, and possibly 4 million plus lifetime.
Faxanadu (on 15 November 2010)
I hope this will get to a million eventually.
SSurTails (on 13 November 2010)
Can't beleive this shit sold so well... Wii user please grows a brain.
*Sound Of Rain (on 12 November 2010)
I wouldn't be surprised if it sells 3 Million by the end of 2010.
NiKKoM (on 12 November 2010)
Great legs.. deserves every sale it's getting.. really fun game with friends.
kevinrize (on 04 November 2010)
ubisoft should be happy with this and red steel 2 still selling well with 6,500 sold this week in others alone.
Juma009 (on 02 November 2010)
Got this for my niece on Saturday, by Monday 4 of her friends bought it. if only the real good wii-games had that contagious effect.
erying (on 01 November 2010)
got it. but that is a lot of cancelling...
erying (on 31 October 2010)
yahoocom1984 hi, what do you mean cancelling pre-orders?
Fededx (on 30 October 2010)
Red Stell 2, No More Heroes 2 and Prince of Persia - The Forgotten Sands are 3 awesome Ubisoft efforts that came out this year. Those games hasn't sold in their lifetime what this game has sold in just two weeks... I'm glad Ubi is doing great on the Wii, I just wished it was with the games I like the most...
yahoocom1984 (on 29 October 2010)
erying, Cancelling pre-orders
erying (on 24 October 2010)
Why it sold only 154k in the US in the first week? The pre-orders at the end were 196k in America. Does it mean VG numbers here are wrong?
*Yoshi* (on 21 October 2010)
One of the best game oh Wii, very funny!
