It was simpler than Civ IV which was one of the bigger flaws of this game. Still, it was better than most games out there so I'm happy to see it did this well in the end - not counting Steam sales.

I think this game is underrated by most people. It was a lot smoother, simpler and more enjoyable than Civ 4, which was also brilliant.

I loved the Civ 1 and 2 back as a kid. 3-4 failed to Wow me. This one feels like it hit home. Well worth my money this time.

I am pretty sure I saw that Steam sales alone made up over 50% of this game's sales... that is not even counting the numberous other retailers. I would not be shocking if this had well over 1 million digital sales... I know I bought it off steam.... no need to ever worry about disc....

fantastic. another classic game franchise...

Even without digital sales this is selling slightly faster then the 360 and ps3 versions of civ rev combined!

This sales data is kind of useless. Everyone I know downloaded the game from Steam. I can't imagine this number is even close to what it has actually sold.

Worst in the series. I'm depressed...

Civilization bugs me. I would LIKE to quit PC gaming, but so long as this series exists, I can't.
