no one bought this in JAPAN

GTFO of here japs
Mr Puggsly (on 14 May 2012)
I actually prefer this over MvC3. They ruined it with all the combo juggling crap. Wish they would port it to the 360 and PS3. I'm not a fan of using the Wii online.
Jameson_Bond (on 15 March 2012)
For a Capcpom fighter this game sold like hot garbage and had no lasting effect on the scene. Hopefully they'll give it a chance on a real console someday.
NintendoFanDj (on 07 December 2011)
the controls in this game is much easier and better than Marvel vs Capcom 3
MRKs (on 12 September 2011)
The controls n this game are amazing, i mean even with the wii mote + nunchuk you can perform a lot of moves withouth any difficulty
morenoingrato (on 25 July 2011)
This is one of the few Wii third party games that did deserve better.
atma998 (on 05 July 2011)
Only 438k for that game. It deserves more!
FMF (on 02 July 2011)
lol That is called MvC.
spurgeonryan (on 02 July 2011)
I swear I played this on the 360?
Fededx (on 05 June 2011)
Glad it's still seling good, I really enjoyed the game, still play it now and then.
Venox2008 (on 08 April 2011)
very very very ..and very good game :)
oniyide (on 05 April 2011)
@neostar barely and i mean barely
Kihniö (on 18 March 2011)
Finally bought it.very good game.
Sunshine (on 13 March 2011)
Got this from my friend as a gift for my birthday in January. I am grateful she got me this. Its also one of the few games my cousins love playing when they come over.
Faxanadu (on 03 February 2011)
Got it recently and it is a nice game. Only the final boss is a bit annoying.
NeoStar9 (on 25 December 2010)
Good sales to date. I hope this means Capcom wil come out with another figher for the system. Is the onlien still active?
oni-link (on 23 December 2010)
loving this game...I tried to look for this under $20 this black friday but couldn't find one for that price. I was hoping to keep a sealed copy as a collection. I love this game that much. I heard Capcom is actually making a sequel of this on the Wii. Can't wait!!!!
Fededx (on 17 December 2010)
400 k and counting!
Venox2008 (on 14 December 2010)
it's really the best to date of vs. series and better than street fighter 4 for me..can't wait for marvel vs. capcom 3
Tayne (on 04 December 2010)
Actually, I've owned the game since it was released.
Kai_Ikara (on 29 November 2010)
@Mr. Puggsly+Tayne: Get the hell out of here. This is a great game, and I've heard plenty of people call it the best of the VS. series. You 2 have no idea wth you're talking about. If Ixis doesn't like this game, then like he said, the series probably just isn't for him--has nothing to do with the quality of the game itself(which is great).
spurgeonryan (on 26 November 2010)
Well all games are going to get a huge hit this Thanksgiving selling week! Games for 7-10 dollars!
FMF (on 17 November 2010)
Keep going! On to 400k!!
Tayne (on 05 November 2010)
@IxisNaugus: Play Marvel vs. Capcom 2
Mr Puggsly (on 05 November 2010)
@ IxisNaugus - For the record, this is probably the weakest game in the Vs series. Too casual friendly maybe.
spurgeonryan (on 29 October 2010)
Holy smokes! So many games are doing very well now. Me being banned and the wall being gone these past six months makes alot of things change. Im very happy for this one.
Venox2008 (on 25 October 2010)
great fighting game!
IxisNaugus (on 24 October 2010)
This is the first and only Capcom vs game I'll ever own. Turns out I don't like these games.
oni-link (on 30 May 2010)
amazon is offering it for $40 this memorial weekend with a $10 future credit towards any videogame related item. It's a steal at this price and ppl should really take advantage of this right now!
Fededx (on 29 May 2010)
I still have to buy this one, but I'm not gonna buy it until I get a classic controller or a pro, I don't wanna play it with the wiimote. Looks like an awesome game :)
oni-link (on 28 May 2010)
Man when will VGC combine the regular version of this game(Cross Generation) with this one? They did it for RE5 Gold Edition!!! Still pretty good numbers for a full price game that half the characters are virtually unknown to the West!!!
st_muscat0 (on 28 May 2010)
@spurgeonryan duh of course they get paid for these ads, otherwise why on earth would anyone want them plaguing their site?
spurgeonryan (on 27 May 2010)
I would love to read this longer but vgchartz has video ads now that are horribly annoying. Do they make more money for these types of ads?
rockleemexico (on 26 May 2010)
its back on the charts @o@
oniyide (on 19 May 2010)
not bad at all, I was wondering why it wasnt taking forever to find online opponents, people are actually playing the game. not like smash bros. ghost town
sorento (on 14 May 2010)
A very good game, buy it and we will have a sequel or anoher VS series on wii
ash3336 (on 09 May 2010)
I like this game better than SF4.
Squeakthedragon (on 08 May 2010)
At the rate it's going it could still hit 350 within a year (and not counting CGoH within that total). No matter how you slice it, it's good. Capcom is keeping TvC a separate series from MvC3 (not just folding TvC features into MvC3) so we likely will see a discreet TvC2 developed by Eighting.
Rustuv (on 04 May 2010)
it's doing better than a lot of other core games that came out this year. of course this game actually has adds . . .
IxisNaugus (on 28 April 2010)
Capcom are happy with the sales but honestly I wished this had done a bit better, especially in Others.
Venox2008 (on 28 April 2010)
nice and crazy game, that I can recomend to all fighting fans.. better that Street fighter IV in my oppinion :)
Tayne (on 28 April 2010)
Great sales for game that basically cost nothing to localize.
younghavok (on 27 April 2010)
340k for a title like this is pretty damn good. Soon as the price drops on this game the sales will boost up even more.
Arfen (on 27 April 2010)
First japan version sold around 100K so the total is not that bad, and is still selling
spurgeonryan (on 25 April 2010)
well it did better here than anywhere else so I guess he west was the right market for it. After all th articles I thought it was a mainstay in japan, but I guess not!
FMF (on 24 April 2010)
Looks like the game is stuck under 300K and Japan is not very interested since they have the Arcade and Wii versions of CGoH.
wesker496 (on 23 April 2010)
Have the numbers been updated this week?

@oni-link
The game was only sold 230 so far. There is no point in combinding the sales with the older game to make it look better.
Spring (on 22 April 2010)
Argh! you're so awesome, why won't you sell? T.T
oni-link (on 19 April 2010)
@younghavok

actually capcom already said that they were optimistic and not disappointed with the game:
"Is this appropriate for the Western market?" [perspective]. A lot of people worked really hard after the outcry of fans who really wanted to see it happen over here, to bring that Westward.

There were a whole bunch of questions like, "Will fighting fans really support something on the Wii?" And, you know, we're a couple weeks in right now, and we've been doing re-orders. We're not at all dissatisfied with the sales at this point. We are cautiously optimistic that it's going to have long legs...

younghavok (on 18 April 2010)
over 300k so far? At 50 dollars still? Not bad at all. And this game continues to sell steadily. Not bad at all. Its a success easily, and had it not been, of course capcom would've said something.
Fededx (on 17 April 2010)
Let's be honest, this game is not selling well... But SF4 for Ps3 and 360 didn't sell that well either, actually, it took A LOT of time for them to break the million barrier. So, it has to do with fighting games in general I guess...
oni-link (on 12 April 2010)
This will easily hit 300k mark before it's 6 month mark. When you add the Japanese version TvC have sold 400k by that time!!! Not bad for a game that features half of it's characters unknown to west other than Japan.
jeffrey9999 (on 12 April 2010)
unfortunately I have to say this isn't no big time game anymore and I hope they put it on psn or xbl to see that it wouldn't do much better anywhere else...........
intro94 (on 11 April 2010)
capcom is pleased and legs are more or less alive.everything went alright here.
IxisNaugus (on 09 April 2010)
adjusted down a bit i think...
jeffrey9999 (on 07 April 2010)
did anyone see the sales of golds gym, or calabes hunter? I hope eventually casual gamers start playing games the way we all do then wii would have every game...........
Arfen (on 07 April 2010)
this game is selling constantly. 220K is well bt now, but you have to remember that the first version did 100k more in Japan. so there's 320k an going!!!!
bmmb1 (on 06 April 2010)
Well Capcom are pleased with the game's sales, so there you go. http://www.gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=119628
novasonic (on 04 April 2010)
People are losing their online data for this game. Be careful! I lost mine T_T
MonstaMack (on 03 April 2010)
Wow the legs on this game make me sad. It's a really great game and wish more Wii owners would go out and buy this.
XA3 (on 03 April 2010)
I thought that this game would be a sure million seller, but I was wrong. This game is awesome.
intro94 (on 01 April 2010)
and yes, oni link is right, plenty of fighters on the wii perform quite strongly, with Buddokai 3 reaching the million seller status long ago, and the narutos performing just as well..Is a good market for recognizable franchises..just as the other consoles. But i grant you this, at worse, the sales would be 20% better elsewhere. Not sure if its worth the investment myself. If SF4 came to the wii(hell is going to the iphone),it would sell maybe 500-800k, pretty good. But maybe capcom feels thats not enough.Same goes both ways imho.
novasonic (on 31 March 2010)
You can't compare a Capcom Vs. game to SF4. SF4 would have sold 500k on Wii too.
SaviorX (on 30 March 2010)
Is that an increase in sales I see in Others for Week 9?!
The Lord is merciful lol
oni-link (on 30 March 2010)
yeah but for now all we know is it is Wii exclusive so let's move on!!! This should hit 300k before summer and hopefully 400k within a year of release!
oni-link (on 21 March 2010)
300K on both versions for a 2D niche fighting game is pretty awesome. Hopefully it hits at least 400k-500k on both versions combined!!!
younghavok (on 21 March 2010)
Its selling steadily, that's a good thing. And since its such a niche game these sales are good. Include the other version and its at 300k.
primogen18 (on 21 March 2010)
this and silent hill are doing pretty good, I hope they keep going maybe to the 500k and beyond mark.
Spring (on 21 March 2010)
I hope TvC breaks the million mark. This game is awesome and not to mention pretty balanced (in comparison with MvC2 and CGoH version). Mega man and Roll ftw!
SaviorX (on 19 March 2010)
200k. On to 300k (if the former Japanese game is not included)
Product (on 12 March 2010)
Even if this title only sells 5,000 copies a week in Americas only (which I think it will) it will be around 330k by Christmas. Include Japan and Others and this title will break the half million mark by Christmas.
oni-link (on 12 March 2010)
I wonder if they'll ever combine both versions in the sales?
oni-link (on 11 March 2010)
Sega also contradicts themselves a few months later when they are announced as the publisher for two mature title on the Wii via HVS:
-The Grinder
-Gladiator A.D.
torchmoney1 (on 09 March 2010)
when the classic pro comes out this game wii sell
novasonic (on 07 March 2010)
Everyone who plays this online with Ryu and Zero, and just Hadokens over and over knowing damn well the tiny bit of online lag makes it imposable to escape your attacks.. F you. Anyone who wants to play fair can ad me. I usually play as Chun-Li and Tekkaman Blade.
FC: 2923-0525-9492
juicy (on 06 March 2010)
@bazmeistergen makes u wonder y capcom gave the game a commerical in america but not in europe
intro94 (on 06 March 2010)
linksaf, thats a lie.Otherwise this game on the wii shouldnt have sold more than the acclaimed blazbue on PS3 or 360 did in their start. Or why this wii fighter sold better than KOF XII on the 360 OR PS3.Fighting fans on the others?Remember brawl is the best selling fighter this generation. And is on wii.
Linkasf (on 05 March 2010)
Most brawl or smash players don't seem to like fighters like this. This includes myself... But hopefully the game does fine in the long run. The biggest problem here is that the fighter fans are on the xbox and PS. I don't think that many of em would want to buy a Wii just for this game.
bazmeistergen (on 05 March 2010)
Might make it to 500,000 in the end. Might not.

Over 9 million brawl owners. Perhaps more should pick this up, but over here advertising limited to online. That's just not enough to make a game successful in Europe.
novasonic (on 04 March 2010)
I have won like 50 online matches, but I only have 200BP 'cause everyone shuts their Wii off just as they're about to lose! Pisses me right off!
marcianito (on 04 March 2010)
so are they going to add the numbers from the first Japanese release??
OmegaRugalv3 (on 04 March 2010)
They should have to know what Tatsunoku is ... it has street figher and capcom characters, it's online and has quality production values.

OmegaRugalv3 (on 04 March 2010)
quality Wii third party game .... terrible sales.

So sad ...
oni-link (on 03 March 2010)
270K units combined on both versions is pretty darn good. Decent sales in the americas with 140k; but what happened to others? Is there a game shortage or are ppl in Others just not picking this up?
Tayne (on 03 March 2010)
I blame Europe. Great sales with both versions combined.
Arfen (on 02 March 2010)
we have to add the 100 k sales of the first version of the game ion Japan, so not so bad after all, and let legs do the rest
juicy (on 02 March 2010)
europe is messing up the sales
marcianito (on 27 February 2010)
very good sales for this type of game, i bet you most people have no idea what tatsunoko is
midaks (on 27 February 2010)
@oni-link

there is no way that this version will only sell 230-260k.... it shud sell atleast 320-360k
PhilTheGamer (on 26 February 2010)
This game is aweosme.
BoneArk (on 26 February 2010)
@oni-link

I saw advertising of the game on Monday night during WWE RAW.
oni-link (on 25 February 2010)
260K total already between this and the original TvC released in Japan last year!!! This should hit 330K units combined with the original TvC before the end of the year (230-260k for this version of TvC only).
oni-link (on 25 February 2010)
@boneark

What TV stations are they advertising at? Any shows in particular cuz I would love to finally see a 3rd party TV ad besides Sonic and Mario Olympics and a bunch of mini-games!!!
intro94 (on 25 February 2010)
outselling KOF XII and blazblue already! way to go wii gamers!
Roflinator (on 25 February 2010)
@primogen18:
Because that has to do with releasing a game for 50 bucks for a certain group of people and then releasing it for 40 dollars cheaper out of nowhere for others is totally fair to the former, amirite?

Way to miss the point.
torchmoney1 (on 23 February 2010)
good sells for the third week keep sell above 10,000 and it will succeed and this game really gonna take off when mh3 bundle come out with the new controller
BoneArk (on 23 February 2010)
I'm happy that Capcom are still advertising this on TV.
oni-link (on 23 February 2010)
I don't know why ppl are crying and moaning about the sales of this game!? If you look at this game as a special edition/extended edition of the original japanese game this sold 260k unit already. In the America's this game is tracking better than PS3's best 2D fighter blazblue!!! That game ended selling lifetime 260k units there and 40k units in Japan. TvC has the potential to reach or exceed that in the Americas as the Japanese sales to me already beat it since I consider this a remake or special edition for Japan (115K vs 40k). So looking at it that way this game is not selling that bad if it is then blazblue BOMBED on the PS3 and the X360 as well!!!
st_muscat0 (on 23 February 2010)
@torchmoney1 the original release of this game in Japan sold just over 100K there, so in reality its sold around 115K there, around that.
torchmoney1 (on 23 February 2010)
bad sell for japan do they even play other types of video games beside rpg and the usaual japanesse like type games
primogen18 (on 22 February 2010)
Wii owners have been paying for the expensive version ever since that flood of old PS2 ports and the like, along with "resident evil archives".
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 22 February 2010)
sales are not poor, yet

maybe Europe but we'll see after 10 weeks if this game is selling or not
pmaster4 (on 22 February 2010)
I am seriously beginning to wonder if all wii owners want are party games. No excuse for these poor sales.
coonana (on 22 February 2010)
Hurray Wii owners we F****** up again!

Another great game sold bad!
SuperAdrianK (on 21 February 2010)
I suck at this game so bad... :-D
Roflinator (on 21 February 2010)
I wish port begging is banned in vgchartz just like in NeoGAF.

Fuck you to everyone that wants 50 dollar Wii games to be ported to PSN/XBLA. That only just means that Wii owners are paying for an expensive version.
DxLink (on 21 February 2010)
Man, this is frustrating i have the 50 bucks to buy it but i can't at this moment, i need this.
i hope i can get it soon
swordplay (on 21 February 2010)
I'll get it on the psn network if it's under $20 unless the wii games gets a major price drop.
andremop (on 20 February 2010)
What a game this is.
I'm still shocked by how much it is creative.
Sholities (on 20 February 2010)
I kinda wish I grabbed this game instead of No More Heroes 2....
Siko1989 (on 19 February 2010)
260k worldwide nice... yes i included the japan sales
Tayne (on 19 February 2010)
Keep on truckin baby
roccerfeller (on 19 February 2010)
man this game is doing solid. Well done Capcom! Nice americas sales for a game no one knowns anything about lol. How about SF4 for the Wii along with the iphone?
oni-link (on 17 February 2010)
great sales in Americas probably guarantee a definite sequel!
BoneArk (on 17 February 2010)
I finally got Batsu's 2nd icon. The only ones I need now is Ryu's and Morrigan's 2nd icon. Does anyone here know how to get them?
Lolcislaw (on 16 February 2010)
people need to remember that Tatsunoko vs Capcom sold around 100k in japan arleady.
roccerfeller (on 15 February 2010)
Nice, this game is doing well
primogen18 (on 15 February 2010)
come on japan and others...
DxLink (on 15 February 2010)
oh men, this doesn't look very good
Games4Fun (on 14 February 2010)
This is the first Vs. game other than Smash Bros. I have bought in a long time. I am glad I did.
Hephaestos (on 13 February 2010)
I feel part of an elite with these EU sales :p
ash3336 (on 13 February 2010)
Will go on to sell a million with about 750k in America, 180k in Others and 70k in Japan. My prediction. This is not lifetime sales I am talking about. It is just what sales will be when it hits a million.
Siko1989 (on 13 February 2010)
oni-link i think they never shipped many copy's in Europe i was lucky enough to find 1 copy at EB Games and GAME lol
Siko1989 (on 13 February 2010)
what oni-link said, if you want a wii game on your system so badly buy a wii, if you refuse to its just to god damn bad
oni-link (on 12 February 2010)
again what's up with Others not holding any Wii love? Hopefully this could at least get 50k in sales there or no TvC -2 for them lol...j/k!!! Japan if you take the original into account already has 110k in sales which is great for a Wii game over there!
oni-link (on 12 February 2010)
Don't hold your breath Dark Odin as Capcom already said it will remain Wii exclusive and is already working on a sequel. The sequel might go multi but this won't!!! Maybe you could pick up a Wii if you want it sooooo darn bad!!! =D
NoirSon (on 12 February 2010)
For a niche fighter, this game has done pretty well. Good to see.
torchmoney1 (on 12 February 2010)
this game will reach over a million in sell .once mh3 tri come out with the bundle controll
roccerfeller (on 12 February 2010)
Dont forget NPD is only US. THey also said it was 72k. This seems about right.
Product (on 12 February 2010)
The figures are about right for worldwide sales in 2 weeks. I would say it has been overtracked by about 15-20k worldwide. It will make it to about 400-500k ltd ww which is pretty good considering.
Games4Fun (on 12 February 2010)
Pretty fun game =)
Dark Odin (on 12 February 2010)
this should release on PSN and Xbox Live.
Chrizum (on 12 February 2010)
Actually, the first week is probably overtracked by 20-25k, second week by 5-10k.
SaviorX (on 12 February 2010)
@Train wreck
As opposed to what, DS?

@Chrizum
That NPD leak stated ~50k, that means around 50,000. It could be lower or higher. VGC includes other regions into Americas as well, not just USA. NPD doesn't track some retailers (Wal-Mart) either. The most it could be overtracked is 15k.
Chrizum (on 12 February 2010)
Overtracked according to NPD, probably by about ~30k.
routsounmanman (on 12 February 2010)
Brawl had online?
routsounmanman (on 11 February 2010)
This is up there with SF4, yet critics will hammer it for being technically inferior and for it cast.
oni-link (on 11 February 2010)
online play is the best the Wii could offer. kills brawl in my opinion!!!
KingHenry (on 11 February 2010)
Heard a lot of good feedback. I'll be looking forward to pick this one up on the weekend.
Does it lag when you play online? Cause i don't want it to be like brawl...
coonana (on 10 February 2010)
w
sorento (on 10 February 2010)
other have only one day of selling and we don't preorder a lot that why.
andremop (on 10 February 2010)
My god, what a great game. Street Fighter IV was fantastic in my opinion, but this is something else.

Jesus, the creativinity in this game is mind blowing!
oni-link (on 10 February 2010)
@mega
i meant sales wise not region!!!
--OkeyDokey-- (on 10 February 2010)
This game is lots of fun. Could use some moves and more polished presentation though.
Samara360 (on 09 February 2010)
Considering all the gaming websites, and nintendo power gave this a good review, I think it will have legs.

I didnt buy this myself because I recently bought Street Fighter 4, but I really hope it does well!
NoirSon (on 09 February 2010)
It is funny and a little sad, one week and its worldwide sales seem to already match if not top the previous version released on the Wii in Japan.

I wonder if we will see a sequel. Technically, including the original arcade game and the enhanced Wii port, Ultimate All stars is the third iteration of the game. Capcom usually only does three versions of the same game including actual sequels.
BoneArk (on 09 February 2010)
Capcom should of added sub-titles in the game b/c I really want know what the characters are saying. Also, in versus mode they should of let u fight CPU's to choose your own fights.
MegaDrive08 (on 09 February 2010)
Can you not refer to others as insignificant please, you might offend people
oni-link (on 09 February 2010)
I'm happy with the sales of this game. Hopefully it could finish 120k-140k in Americas with good word of mouth. I don't expect much from Japan as they already have the scaled down version of this game last year. Others is really insignificant at this point. Oh well that means no TvC:2 for them next year!!!
Siko1989 (on 07 February 2010)
torchmoney1

no its not you, capcom is the only one that trys very hard

ash3336

Europe was the problem though man, they never shipped enough copys in Euope, i was lucky enough to find 1 copy

ash3336 (on 06 February 2010)
I think there will be legs in America. I am predicting there won't be that good legs in Others and I am pretty sure that there will be NO legs in Japan.
SmokedHostage (on 06 February 2010)
Probably the most accessible fighting game ever made. I rarely play traditional fighting games and I make it through some fights with ease.
dark_gh0st_b0y (on 06 February 2010)
great game and nice opening in US, i guess legs will carry it long way in Europe

Japan, is very close to the one released before, so not expecting sales...
torchmoney1 (on 06 February 2010)
IS IT ME OR IS CAPCOM IS THE ONLY COMPANY THAT SELLING UNITS ON THE WII
roccerfeller (on 05 February 2010)
Damn nice opening.
bazmeistergen (on 05 February 2010)
I got it day one in Dorset!

Amazing fun! I still need to figure out how to pull of crosscombos.
SecretAsianMan (on 05 February 2010)
I want this game!!!
oni-link (on 05 February 2010)

Yeah I forgot about the original in Japan!!! That sold around 100k right? So in reality we could add that to Japan's sale couldn't we?
oni-link (on 05 February 2010)
This may have caught even Capcom by suprise!!! Pleasant suprise after the disappointment which was Spyborgs!
Falk Sturmfels (on 05 February 2010)
Others reviews are just decent.
Siko1989 (on 05 February 2010)
capcom didn't ship alot of this game in Europe.. i was very lucky to find 1 copy of this game.. even GAME only had 1 copy in stock.. im very disappointed with capcom of not shipping alot of copy's like America.. i guess thats the reason why other sales is bad, if they ship 100k to Europe it would have done atleast 50-60k...
z101 (on 05 February 2010)
The first few days this game was nearly impossible to buy in europe, even amazon had no copies.
marcianito (on 04 February 2010)
wow those are good numbers, especially in America
younghavok (on 04 February 2010)
if you count the original its already at 200k ww. Not bad for a game with an unkown cast. Next week sales will tell the story alot better. So far so good though
mmpop (on 04 February 2010)
Im very suprised that the sales of this game is so high. Sure it is a very good game but I never saw Tatsunoko vs Capcom as a high seller. Can it reach 500K?
novasonic (on 04 February 2010)
I want so badly to play this online, but my landlords internet connection is questionable, and it just lags to hell until it disconnects :(
xcot (on 04 February 2010)
HMV failed, i asked them if they had the game and they were like: "were you the person who put it on reserve?". Did they have like 1 or 2 copies :/
Tayne (on 04 February 2010)
Great start!
*Sound Of Rain (on 04 February 2010)
This game will sell most in America by far in total sales but in Others I expect better "Legs"
qwettydude (on 04 February 2010)
in my country (holland) it was hardly in stores so thats 1 reason why it sold so less on the first day
Mithos (on 04 February 2010)
The game had only been available 2 days in Others for the 1st week results while American numbers are for 4 days. Therefore it is quite possible that the 2nd week sales are, in Others, bigger than for the 1st.
famousringo (on 04 February 2010)
People shouldn't be so fast to write off the Others sales. Games often tick upward after launch week in that region and go on to sell for months. This game could go on to sell a respectable 200k or maybe even more in the region.
Tuulikk (on 04 February 2010)
Good start! But does America alone have all it takes to get the sales to 1m when the sales have died down in Japan and Others?

Let's see if America cares more about this fighter then Europe cares about Rabbids.
Fededx (on 04 February 2010)
Solid start! Hope it reaches the million mark soon so Wii gamers get other VS games, or even a port of SF4, who knows?
Bruno Muñoz (on 04 February 2010)
Others always fails :(
torchmoney1 (on 04 February 2010)
i give this game until april 2 reach over a million copies sold im still waiting 4 my check to come in the mail must buy 4 me
hellraider (on 04 February 2010)
With the legs good wii games have this could easily reach a million.Awesome!
sorento (on 04 February 2010)
Goodi'm happy with the lunch.

primogen18 (on 04 February 2010)
not bad, saw actual commercials for it on adult swim.
Siko1989 (on 04 February 2010)
Chrizum

is there any chance of adjusting up the sales possible?
Siko1989 (on 04 February 2010)
@famousringo

yeah but still i was hoping for big sales in japan because of the online

@hallowedbeeddie
yes it is, if you like online fighting games then this game is for you, im buying it tomorrow morning if its at EB Games or GAME
Chrizum (on 04 February 2010)
Over 100k first week, impressive. Although it surely will be adjusted downwards when NPD data comes out.
hallowedbeeddie (on 04 February 2010)
Is this game worth the purchase?
famousringo (on 04 February 2010)
@ Siko

The game already released to 100k sales in Japan, plus an arcade machine. Anything more is gravy for Capcom.
dampowell (on 04 February 2010)
COnsider this a best version in Japan. It is just a rerelease with added features. It should crawl to about 100k.
Siko1989 (on 04 February 2010)
wait a minute i thought tatsonoku vs capcom was popular in japan? let me get this straight a place where tats isn't known in America destroyed japan sales where the damn game is huge? im confused
famousringo (on 04 February 2010)
I was worried about this game's reception. 80k is pretty good.
hunter_alien (on 04 February 2010)
Great first week sales :-)
Siko1989 (on 04 February 2010)
yeah 83k America alone is pretty dang good considering tatsonoku isn't known in the west
Siko1989 (on 04 February 2010)
hey im just guessing lol
Siko1989 (on 04 February 2010)
150k first week
Majin-Tenshinhan (on 04 February 2010)
Wow, nice opening.
Exblackman (on 03 February 2010)
I've created a online thread for Tatsunoko vs Capcom for people to share FC, characters strategy, and to set up matches with each other..http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=99984&page=1&str=1877670326#1
KingEidilleg (on 02 February 2010)
What a great game! It looks fantastic too... Shame it is so hard to find in shops.
Siko1989 (on 02 February 2010)
IxisNaugus

i will but would UK wii games work on australian wii's?
KingEidilleg (on 02 February 2010)
Got my copy from zavvi today as well! I'm off to play it now ;-)
IxisNaugus (on 01 February 2010)
My copy arrived the other day. Got it from Zavvi for only £17.95, brilliant deal, i encourage all europeans to get it from there, the delivery was reliable and on time.
oliist (on 01 February 2010)

wesker496 (on 29 January 2010)
Dissapointed to find out that the ending cutscenes were taken away but this is still a great game.
novasonic (on 29 January 2010)
Am I the only one or did anyone else notice the pantie shot of June the Swan on the front cover of the instruction booklet?..
wiinintendo32 (on 28 January 2010)
I can't wait to play this game on my show on youtube.. I hope it really helps sell some copies
salaminizer (on 28 January 2010)
so, can someone explain to me why is it "stripped down to 4 buttons" according to 1UP, if we've been playing Tekken and Soul * games for years with less than 6 buttons ? :|
Neos (on 28 January 2010)
@juicy, that game is not the same as this one.

This 'new' one also released today in japan.
DavidValbu (on 28 January 2010)
9/10 from GameTrailers.
juicy (on 27 January 2010)
i think this can easily do 400k WW and considering that it sold 100k in japan already should bring a pretty good profit and a sequel
Blacksaber (on 26 January 2010)
Did anyone else get that awesome happy go lucky song after beating the arcade
Chrizum (on 26 January 2010)
I predict 90k first week worldwide.
Spring (on 25 January 2010)
so far so good, feedback seems overwhelmingly positive on the Western side of things

I can't wait to get this game, I'll be maining megaman and roll no doubt, probably Yatterman 1 and 2 as my second pairing ^__^
Mr. Fister (on 25 January 2010)
9.0 from IGN, 5/5 from X-Play, and one heck of a positive review from Joystiq. Gotta be a good game.
Exblackman (on 25 January 2010)
Whoever gets this game I will start a thread for matchmaking unless someone beats me to it! I getting this but later on in the week probably friday
Siko1989 (on 25 January 2010)
the Japanese version failed because capcom didn't offer anything, only 10 fighters and thats it, it was like a tech demo lol.. maybe this version will go off the shelf's in japan?
novasonic (on 24 January 2010)
I remember reading somewhere it supports wiimore, gamecube, and classic controller.
chaos20xx (on 24 January 2010)
hey, does anyone of you know whether this version is playable with a gamecube controller?
SaviorX (on 23 January 2010)
I think...this might sell better than we imagined.......
Veder Juda (on 23 January 2010)
This isn't quite the same game as the one the Japanese got in '08, kind of like Super Street Fighter IV, so it makes sense to release this version in Japan.
morenoingrato (on 23 January 2010)
I don't how it's realeasing in Japan....
juicy (on 22 January 2010)
wait they are re-releasing it in japan....that will be interesting
J.U.N.O (on 21 January 2010)
Saw the comercial too and looked for some videos on youtube, I def want this now. Already preordered NMH2 so I guess I'll get this the upcoming week.
Smeags (on 15 January 2010)
I just saw the NA commercial... and now I kind of want this game. :-D

If anyone is interested, here it is.
ash3336 (on 11 January 2010)
This will definitely get a release of over 100k. Lets hope it can beat the 150k mark! But I do not want No More Heroes 2 sales to be hurt because of this. In fact, I want that game to sell more than this game.
SaviorX (on 11 January 2010)
Has 29k preorders right now. Two weeks left to boost them up a bit.
BoneArk (on 26 December 2009)
One more month, going to pre-order it on Monday with No More Heroes 2.
MegaDrive08 (on 26 December 2009)
Yes salnax this will have more characters and online play also!
Salnax (on 15 December 2009)
Does this version just have a few new characters, or are there other differences also?
oliist (on 15 December 2009)
NOTE!
This is NOT exactly the same game as 'Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes' which is Japan exclusive.
This one here will not only be released in western territories but also in Japan.

no one bought this in JAPAN
