One of the best games ever made. Nice sales but deserves more.

Same here! I usually prefer 2D JRPGs over 3D and I started with Chrono Trigger. Despite Chrono Cross' drawbacks, its a more magical game with a lot of painfully beautiful soundtracks. It had a much greater impact on me.

@hatmoza Brofist:) @A203D Exactly Chrono Cross was never released in Europe. I don't know what's going on hereO-o
A203D (on 05 March 2012)
How can this game have sold 0.42 mil copies in Europe, it wasnt released there... i would know, because its still not released on the PSN!! which is PS3s strongest region, now is a time for a digital release of all these games where fans deserve to be rewarded for saving the PS brand this gen!
hatmoza (on 20 January 2012)
Under rate game. I love it more than Chrono Trigger, and I love Chrono Trigger.

awesome game..

Unfortunately the game froze onme before the 1st disc was finished so I still don't know how it ends! But I'll wait for it to be a PSN download!
Yamaneko22 (on 07 May 2011)
So many fond memories with this game^^ For me one of the best games ever made (if not the best). Shame that I had to play it years after it's release, because it was never released in Europe... When I was a kid, I couldn't import it :(

The game was good, though it has a ton of things bother me.

Most of it is association with Chrono Trigger. Should've just been its own game, I say.

i remember reading at IGN, on a review of another rpg(baten kaitos?) that it sold more than a million in the americas, but i realy can't remember well.
dobby985 (on 14 September 2009)
Kid is an awesome character
Riachu (on 14 June 2009)
The game sold 850K in Japan and 650K in the United States. The game has sold 1.5 million copies worldwide. Sales are impressive considering the game was only realeased in Japan and the United States. I played half way through this game and really liked it. Plan on playing it again after I beat Chrono Trigger DS.
Thrallia (on 31 May 2009)
Why does this only show a handful of Japanese sales and no American sales?
kazer (on 07 March 2009)
Absolutely LOVE this game. One of my all time favorite RPGs.

WTB sequel.
Beoulve (on 04 March 2009)
I loved this game, but what really bugged me were all the random characters with almost no backstory. There were like only a handful of characters throughout the entire game that I got remotely attached to. Esthetically though, this one was a gem, loved the gameplay as well.
Sky Render (on 22 February 2009)
I sometimes wonder how well this game would've done if it hadn't been branded with the "Chrono" label or had a story that wasn't loosely tied to Chrono Trigger. It is a great game in its own right, but how many people picked it up solely because of its name and relation to the previous game in the series? Alas, the world may never know...
Omega_Phazon_Pirate. (on 27 January 2009)
Wouldn't mind trying this game because this generated mostly positive reviews and is a sequel to one of my favourite rpgs ever. But I'm a bit surprised by sales o_O
shizzlee (on 26 January 2009)
This game of full of win. Where's mah sequel T_T
Goodfella (on 24 December 2008)
My favorite PS1 rpg. 10/10
zexen_lowe (on 28 November 2008)
I wonder why I never posted on this game's wall...
Still, this is one of the best RPGs ever, I absolutely love it, the story is fantastic and the battle system is very innovative and engaging.
10/10
Utaku (on 30 October 2008)
The game was great but during most of my first walkthrough, I was waiting for a time travel to happen or something.
Silly me...
Baddman (on 11 August 2008)
wasn't no chrono trigger but still a great game
oliist (on 11 August 2008)
Ganz furchtbar überbewertet und im Vergleich zum "Vorgänger" blutleer.
Für sich alleine betrachtet, aber dennoch ein solides Spiel.
Wolf_Queen (on 20 July 2008)
Loved this game but never got to the second disc b/c we had hired maids before and the memory card was in the system and when we came home, the memory card was out and the chip inside was broken so not only did I lose this date but all my other game saves also. I want this game again so badly!
Riachu (on 04 June 2008)
I played half way through the game, then my file got deleted. I will play over again when I beat CT
kergeten (on 23 May 2008)
My favorite game of all time.
SaviorX (on 11 May 2008)
This game was pretty good. I never got to finish it though.......
Stats87 (on 17 December 2007)
See, I played Chrono Cross BEFORE I played Trigger. I beat Trigger immediately after being Chrono Cross.

Both games are awesome though. The song playing during the world map screen in the alternate world called "Another World" (duh) is beautiful.
Lord_ash (on 26 November 2007)
Even though it's different than Chrono Trigger, it was one of the best RPG's ever, and the sound track is amazing. I'm thinking of Moding my PSP just to play this game again.
Chadius (on 06 November 2007)
...A game that may/may not get you flayed by Chrono Trigger fans.

Me? I'll give you a thumbs up.
