Summary

The evil genius Dr. Doom has stolen a U.S. Nuclear missile, and now threatens to detonate it over New York City if his demands aren’t met.

In this unique, interactive comic-book arcade game, you guide Spider-Man and Captain America through Dr. Doom’s fortified castle, where danger lurks in each corridor. As Spider-Man, you’ll scale walls and spin webs; as the super-soldier Captain America you’ll learn just how useful the famous star spangled shield can be. Together, Spider-Man and Capt. America will need all their skills and special powers to stop Doom.

But Dr. Doom is not alone, he has created an army of robotic guards, and assembled the most formidable group of super villains ever. You’ll have to face the lightning blasts of Electro and the exploding Jack-O-Lanterns of the Hobgoblin. You’ll have to dodge the deadly charges of the Rhino and evade the razor sharp blades of Machete. Should you survive all his, you’ll then face Doom himself — a madman obsessed with revenge, with five million innocent lives in the palm of his armored hand.

State-of-the-art, full-screen comic book pages, drawn in dazzling colors and featuring the authentic Marvel look, “tear open” to allow full player interaction! Each “page” of the game shows Spidey and Cap’s progress through Doom’s castle!

Over 30 challenging arcade sequences give you control of Spider-Man and Captain America as they battle Dr. Doom and his Super Villains, with each character taking advantage of his own individual combat techniques and weapons!

I never really was a big super hero fan back in the days when I was a kid, now I wish I played more.

The game featured the following super-villains: Eduardo Lobo, Grey Gargoyle, Machete, Boomerang, Oddball, Rattan, Electro, Hobgoblin, Rhino, Batroc, and Dr. Doom, and the manual contained detailed biographies and vital statistics for them. This information was used as copy-protection, as the game would not start until the player could answer a question about a character.

This game came with a limited-edition comic book. According to the 2003 Official Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide, a Near Mint copy would be worth... $3.
