| miz1q2w3e (on 30 December 2011) Holy crap I didn't notice this game was so high, I wonder who will end up higher, this or MKWii | |
| NintendoPie (on 23 December 2011) 30 MILLION!! Woot! Go Nintendo! | |
| atma998 (on 23 December 2011) 30 million!!!!! | |

| NintendoFanDj (on 20 December 2011) 5 days remains to blow sales out | |
| GianCarmen (on 20 December 2011) Another Nintendo game to cross 30m. Wow | |
| TWRoO (on 16 December 2011) 30 million coming next week. | |
| Kai Master (on 07 December 2011) it was a data bug due to VGC renouveau | |
| Kai Master (on 30 November 2011) 30,472,026 on Global chart ! Black Friday sales ? | |
| NintendoFanDj (on 19 November 2011) @rexar stay out of Wii section you 360 fanboy dont get made cause no game on 360 can sell this much | |
| rexar (on 02 November 2011) Shitty game made for crap wii. | |
| Arfen (on 10 October 2011) will surpas Wii Play this week with EMEAA & Japan numbers | |
| spurgeonryan (on 23 September 2011) here comes another 30 million seller! | |
| spurgeonryan (on 03 September 2011) I miss my Tennis though! | |
| Podings (on 03 September 2011) They improved golf a lot from the first game, so I'm really having a blast. I still think this golf game is better looking and more intuitive than what Tiger Woods offers on Wii. | |
| MARCUSDJACKSON (on 31 August 2011) still the bowling | |
| *Yoshi* (on 21 August 2011) With the table tennis game, this is better than the original Wii Sports. Very addictive!! | |
| nomad316 (on 01 July 2011) what happing with vgchartz pro??would like to see the rest of the sale numbers of games.i hope they add a chart that show the sales of bundled games sold with the games that sold on there own not bundle.that would be great . | |
| spurgeonryan (on 26 June 2011) Right now this game, wii sports, and a wii are bundled for 149.99 plus I believe it is best buy you will get a 30 dollar gift card as well! check this weeks paper to find out if that was the right store. | |
| slipknotfan (on 26 June 2011) I liked wii sports better | |
| dany612 (on 04 June 2011) Will soon hit 30 million! Who would of thunk? | |
| ghik16 (on 16 May 2011) Sells better than Kinect... :) | |
| newwil7l (on 24 January 2011) They should make another game in the wii sports series i really like the game deserves the sales | |
| Aidman (on 15 January 2011) 24 Millions hello ! | |
| Conegamer (on 08 January 2011) I'm willing to bet that 10mil of these sales were bundled, but that still means it's sold over 10mil! | |
| pacman91 (on 30 December 2010) It would be interesting to know how much of these sales were bundled. | |
| GianCarmen (on 24 December 2010) Looks like by next week it will be over 23M. Thats just crazy. | |
| primogen18 (on 17 December 2010) This game's sales are just insane... | |
| spurgeonryan (on 13 December 2010) Then after they bake some they can make double that amount. | |
| spurgeonryan (on 13 December 2010) That is a good point Declan. Too bad I dont think Nintendo made that connection or they would bake more games that have not done so well bundled with the wii or even DS. Anyone think that this and NSMB will be at 30 million by the end of next christmas 11'? | |
| Declan (on 11 December 2010) The sales of this make me wonder whether it would ultimately be a sound financial investment for third parties to develop a game and give it away free so as to create a market to sell a sequel by the bucketload to. Suppose something like Boom Blox had come free with every Wii (or even with every Nintendo-published title) - I wonder how many would have then bought Boom Blox Party, and how much more money EA would have made from those two games collectively? | |
| Faxanadu (on 08 December 2010) NSMBWii will break the days to 20 million WSR has set. | |
| Aidman (on 03 December 2010) Congrats. | |
| Cheebee (on 02 December 2010) Wow, passed 20 milklion already? O_O | |
| Pavolink (on 27 November 2010) Happy 29mill WSR! Good game :D | |
| Metallicube (on 27 November 2010) I wonder if people still claim that Wii Sports wouldn't have gotten near the sales it has if it wasn't bundled with the Wii.. I think 20+ million sales from this prove otherwise. | |
| CrankyStroming (on 27 November 2010) 73 weeks. What's the record again? | |
| Nintendogamer (on 26 November 2010) Arrived at the 20M mark. | |
| SlyFoxDeveraux (on 05 November 2010) How is it remotely disappointing? Wii Sports was bundled with the console. Everyone who owns a Wii owns Wii Sports. How could any game be expected to compare? | |
| Faxanadu (on 04 November 2010) has only sold a third of its predecessor. Disappointing sales, comparatively. | |
| Nintendogamer (on 20 October 2010) Soon to be at the 20M mark. | |
| allenfake (on 31 May 2010) wow amazing sales, who woulda thunk. | |
| oldschoolfool (on 14 May 2010) This came with the wii black bundle. | |
| andremop (on 08 May 2010) Sales will explode in... 3, 2, 1 | |
| IxisNaugus (on 05 May 2010) @ c0rd. I could be completely wrong but something tells me they'll reveal a future evergreen at this years E3. | |
| c0rd (on 05 May 2010) It's a shame we soon won't be able to see how high this game's sales would have gotten without bundles... It was fun while it lasted! Now, Nintendo owes us another evergreen title we can have fun watching over. | |
| Red4ADevil (on 02 May 2010) 15 million and counting Nintendo; my hats off for you *take off mario hat* | |
| marcianito (on 28 April 2010) 5 more to go | |
| IxisNaugus (on 28 April 2010) 15 million. Nicely done. | |
| spurgeonryan (on 28 April 2010) ok so maybe it wasnt that wii sports was bundled with the wii that made its sales! But wii sports will soon be bundled with the new colors, so bring on the sales. Just bout it with new ocean game and mhtri bundle. | |
| Nintendogamer (on 27 April 2010) 15M baby! | |
| andremop (on 26 April 2010) wow... just passed Gran Turismo 3... now it's 3 weeks from entering the select club of the top 20 best selling games ever. Phenomenon! But too bad it's going to take pokemon ruby (great game!) spot! | |
| Nintendogamer (on 02 April 2010) Almost 15M. | |
| Nintendogamer (on 03 March 2010) 14 Million with Japan and other numbers as of 27th Feb :D 28th for Japan thought. | |
| Boggern (on 29 January 2010) It had shipped 13.58 million at the end of 2009, so I donīt think itīs overtracked. | |
| famousringo (on 28 January 2010) Might be overtracked. Recent Nintendo PR cites NPD as tracking 4.2 million sales in 2009. VGC has almost 5.3 million for NA in 2009. | |
| Cheebee (on 22 January 2010) @ stof: I doubt those archery controls will make their way into Zelda Wii... they're great, that's for sure, but they're also too much of a hassle to implement into a Zelda game, I think. Zelda's very action-oriented, as we all know, and you usually have to be quite fast and precise with the shooting. Imo these controls wouldn't work well with that type of gameplay. | |
| cliffhanger (on 21 January 2010) It's incredible the amount of software nintendo is able to sell. | |
| stof (on 21 January 2010) Sword fighting has got me so pumped for Red Steel 2. And Archery has me desperately hoping that those mechanics get put in to an action game. Zelda maybe!? | |
| Nintendogamer (on 20 January 2010) Almost 13 Million and this is no bomb! | |
| burgerstein (on 19 January 2010) Wow, this game bombed hard, right guys? | |
| Nintendogamer (on 13 January 2010) Up up she goes. | |
| kopstudent89 (on 13 January 2010) well i'm guessing this is the minimum of what Wii Sports would sell without bundles(excluding UK). But its still quite staggering! | |
| famousringo (on 10 January 2010) There it is. The best-selling game on a single platform in 2009. I expect 20 million by 2011. | |
| Nintendogamer (on 07 January 2010) 12 million, deserves it's sales. | |
| Cheebee (on 05 January 2010) I just played this game for the 1st time last week. Awesome. Better than I expected, tbh. | |
| Majin-Tenshinhan (on 04 January 2010) Such a monster. Gotta love it. | |
| marcianito (on 03 January 2010) ioi was right... | |
| MirrorWorld (on 03 January 2010) Flew straight past 10 mil lol Nice! | |
| Nintendogamer (on 03 January 2010) HEHE! 11 Million, nice legs ha get it, 11 = legs. | |
| MontanaHatchet (on 03 January 2010) This went straight from being a bit under 10 million to over 11 million. *Jaw drops* I love the sales of this game. Can't wait to buy it. | |
| pariz (on 01 January 2010) Great sales, lots of fun. | |
| Buzzi (on 25 December 2009) Well, looking at his legs and sales it's gonna be another 20 million seller! | |
| axumblade (on 25 December 2009) Great sakes! WILL be the next 10 million selling Wii game next week! | |
| SaviorX (on 24 December 2009) It's like the Dahaka in Prince of Persia: The Warrior Within. Run away from it, or be devoured. | |
| Khuutra (on 24 December 2009) Holy sweet Jesus this game is a monster too! NINTENDO IS MADE OF GAMES, WHICH ARE ALSO MONSTERS | |
| MirrorWorld (on 24 December 2009) lol so close to 10m. Insane Nintendo, just insane | |
| Kenka (on 24 December 2009) 10 millions in half a year. A faster pace than Mario Kart Wii. | |
| marcianito (on 24 December 2009) such a monster 1 million this week | |
| Nintendogamer (on 24 December 2009) in real ife this game as topped 11 million! | |
| Arius Dion (on 24 December 2009) Holy shit. 10m already?! Nintendo is hilarious. | |
| Majin-Tenshinhan (on 24 December 2009) Sooo close to 10 million now. | |
| Nintendogamer (on 24 December 2009) 9.4 million already, next time it will be a 10 million seller! | |
| elmerion (on 23 December 2009) Until this sells 15kk its a flop for Nintendo xD | |
| Killergran (on 19 December 2009) Will this be able to beat Mario Kart Wii's one year record, or will it fall short? I'm hoping it will. | |
| famousringo (on 18 December 2009) @ Black_Herox I'm sure the bundle helped, but about 50% of WSR's sales this week have come from regions where it isn't bundled with hardware. | |
| Black_Herox (on 18 December 2009) @Chebee: Isn't that because it was only recently, that Nintendo actually actually carted bundling WSR. | |
| c0rd (on 18 December 2009) C'mon WSR, pick up the pace. NSMB Wii is putting you to shame! This title will really shine in Others, though, more so than Mario. 10mil will come on week ending Dec26th. | |
| Cheebee (on 17 December 2009) Hahaha, I remember all the naysayers claiming this game was selling badly shortly after it was launched, now look at it. XD | |
| SaviorX (on 17 December 2009) Holy sh**. The game's sales are reaching critical mass... It's unreal!!!! | |
| kopstudent89 (on 17 December 2009) 12 million in the bag lol | |
| famousringo (on 17 December 2009) 800k this week. *head explodes* | |
| nathlio (on 17 December 2009) As far as I can tell 10 million before 2010 is all but guaranteed and even 11 million isn't out of the question. | |
| kopstudent89 (on 16 December 2009) It might break 10 mil before 2010. I dont get ur point Khuutra. Btw nic avatar! | |
| Cheebee (on 13 December 2009) This game's attach rate is phenomenal... Of course, we already knew that. :-P | |
| Declan (on 13 December 2009) Horrifying in that it's quite poor, I presume. | |
| dark_gh0st_b0y (on 12 December 2009) Wii is doomed haha :P | |
| primogen18 (on 12 December 2009) ..horrifying in what way? | |
| Khuutra (on 12 December 2009) It'll break ten million before March Which is horrifying | |
| kopstudent89 (on 12 December 2009) 8 million already :P | |
| SaviorX (on 12 December 2009) 8.25 million next week. | |
| dark_gh0st_b0y (on 11 December 2009) OMG, when did this got to 7m? | |
| Cheebee (on 09 December 2009) This game's legs are really starting to show now. :-) | |
| kopstudent89 (on 06 December 2009) 7 million already | |
| marcianito (on 29 November 2009) if ioi says it, it must be true | |
| ioi (on 27 November 2009) I'm going more with 10.5m by the end of the year... | |
| Killergran (on 27 November 2009) 7 million next week, and possibly 9 million before the year is over. Not bad. Not bad at all. Then again, I think bundles are going to affect this game a bit. Which is a shame really, I would have loved to see how it would have sold without them. | |
| Majin-Tenshinhan (on 21 November 2009) Haven't played this in a while now, mostly because I still just have one Motion+. Once I get another one I'll no doubt be playing it a lot more, I'm sure. Nice to see sales rising so steadily. | |
| JUG (on 19 November 2009) Does anyone else delve back into this game and find a new aspect to it that surprises them? This keeps happening to me. I was never much of a frisbee fan, but once you get the hang of how it works it makes for really great gameplay and really rather deep. The physics in frisbee golf are amazing - and I was completely taken aback the other day when I unlocked new courses having owned this game since it came out! | |
| Demotruk (on 16 November 2009) Though MKWii had a better opening and is thus tracking ahead of WSR now, this game is actually showing better legs than MKWii did. Hopefully this is an indication of sales for the next few years. | |
| Cheebee (on 13 November 2009) Whoa, over 6 million already, great! :D | |
| Red4ADevil (on 13 November 2009) Now off to 7 million. | |
| c0rd (on 12 November 2009) Initially thought the sales so far were slightly disappointing compared to MKWii (I know, crazy), but I just checked how many more Wii's were sold in MKWii's period: In the equiv time period (since release in each region), ~2mil more Wiis were sold, or ~43% more while MK was selling. 2008 was ridiculous. Anyway, it's selling about as well as MKWii right now, so it should hit 10mil for end of 09 (MKWii did over 4mil between now and year's end). | |
| Kihniö (on 11 November 2009) Just received it.. My God NO MORE REASONS to WAGGLE your mote. | |
| Majin-Tenshinhan (on 10 November 2009) Such a great game. Happy to see it still selling at solid numbers! :D A great success for Nintendo, I'm sure. | |
| pearljammer (on 07 November 2009) @SmokedHostage: Those are easily my favourite 4 games as well. They're among the most fun I've had with a game in years. | |
| marcianito (on 06 November 2009) 6 mil next week | |
| Theo (on 06 November 2009) Just bought it for my little sis for her birthday. I usually buy her good games she likes that I can play too : D | |
| SmokedHostage (on 05 November 2009) I'm going to take a wild guess and say that this game is going to sell 7.5 million units to consumers by the end of 2009. On an unrelated note, this game is awesome. I'm quite the fan of Archery, Frisbee Golf, Table Tennis and Swordplay. | |
| Red4ADevil (on 03 November 2009) Just bought it like an hour or two (enjoying it) and its awsome. I love teh archery and table tennis. | |
| scottie (on 02 November 2009) @ killergran/fleeman The 1.3 million was the difference between the number shipped at the end of september and the number sold at the end of October. VGChartz numbers for the end of September are 2 million below the shipment figures for the same date. I'm fairly confident it is undertracked | |
| Killergran (on 02 November 2009) @Fleeman, those numbers are shipped. With such a successful game, 1.3 million is not at all unlikely to be in the supply chain. It might even be a bit too little. | |
| Fleeman (on 02 November 2009) 1.3 million undertracked according to nintendo's numbers | |
| DanielD (on 31 October 2009) This game deserves.. It is awesome! Motion+ is excellent and it's worth it.. buy it! | |
| primogen18 (on 28 October 2009) btw, very nice jumps in sales in NA/JPN | |
| primogen18 (on 28 October 2009) This game is a total blast. I have played it at best buy and wasn't that impressed, but they have their wii set up very wrong, it messes it up big time (to anyone who works at best buy, it would be nice if they corrected the sensor bar placement, etc). I played it at walmart and it was 100% smooth and just plain awesome! | |
| Killergran (on 23 October 2009) I cannot see any scenario in which this game fails to sell 10 million. | |
| nicktwilight (on 17 October 2009) incredible sales for an awesome game.it has so many things for a player to do that it people will be playing it for a long time and multiplayer modes are just what make this one of the most entertaining games off all time. | |
| zaMy (on 17 October 2009) this game was so fun, with 3 other people taking turns 1v1. daaaayyyuuumm | |
| spurgeonryan (on 16 October 2009) Well I guess everyone saying that wii sports only did well because it came with the Wii would have been mostly wrong. Oh and no games are selling too big this year for any system compared to other years...economies? | |
| marcianito (on 15 October 2009) 5 million!!! impressive, 10 is possible by end of chirstmas | |
| Killergran (on 15 October 2009) 5 million! That probably means 10 million happy gamers! | |
| Son1x (on 13 October 2009) Holy s***. Its almost at 5m already? | |
| Cheebee (on 10 October 2009) nearly 5 million already eh? Cool. :) This game is massive. | |
| mfogg20 (on 09 October 2009) should hit 5 million after others | |
| DxLink (on 08 October 2009) OH MAN THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! | |
| Buzzi (on 03 October 2009) Over 300k next week, with the Wii's price cut and it's legs it'll surely do better than this week! | |
| Nintendogamer (on 02 October 2009) 10 million seller by Sometime in December. | |
| palancas7 (on 02 October 2009) lol it went up in Europe. | |
| IxisNaugus (on 01 October 2009) Will have great legs. This one was a huge success. | |
| SmokedHostage (on 01 October 2009) First week under 100k in NA. It'll have legs.. | |
| Cheebee (on 28 September 2009) 4.5 million already? Cool, last time I checked this was at like 2 million or something. | |
| scottie (on 21 September 2009) The dogfight part of this game is so much fun | |
| famousringo (on 20 September 2009) @ marcianito Wii Fit is a bad comparison, since it suffered from a lot of supply constraints and staggered launch. If you compare it to mega-hits like MKW, SMG, and SSBB, Wii Sports Resort's sales curve has a lower start, but its legs are carrying longer and stronger. Watch it take off when the holidays begin. | |
| scottie (on 19 September 2009) 11 million and 1. I just got it for my birthday | |
| marcianito (on 18 September 2009) almost 5 million, great! this game is tracking highter than wii fit | |
| Nintendogamer (on 18 September 2009) @ioi it's taken about 2 months for it to pass 4.2 million another 2 months it could be about 8 million so another 1 month which is pretty much the christmas vacation, sell just over 11 million is possible, you are right :) | |
| ioi (on 18 September 2009) @Nintendogamer - try 11m | |
| Nintendogamer (on 17 September 2009) This could easily do 7 million by Christmas. | |
| 11ht11 (on 12 September 2009) this game wasnt great, i was expecting something better | |
| Black_Herox (on 11 September 2009) While they game is selling great, it doesn't appear to be moving any consoles. | |
| Nintendogamer (on 11 September 2009) @salnaz most possibly wii fit plus aswell, since all those peopel thinking about buying wii fit will most likely get this. | |
| Salnax (on 10 September 2009) "Oh NOEZ! THE PS3 IS ONLY $299! THE WII IS DOOOOMED!" This and New Super Mario Bros suggest otherwise... | |
| marcianito (on 10 September 2009) 4 millions yay | |
| Paul (on 10 September 2009) I'm just missing 8 more white balloons for my final stamp in the island flyover. Anyone got that yet? The final baloons are a bitch to find. | |
| ECC (on 10 September 2009) and this is why a price cut wont be necessary.oh and that little game named new super mario brothers Wii | |
| TopCat8 (on 10 September 2009) Look at those sexy smooth legs. | |
| DavidValbu (on 10 September 2009) 4 millions! This games will sell like crazy in Chritsmas! | |
| SmokedHostage (on 10 September 2009) Archery, in my opinion, is the most entertaining sport in this game. | |
| Buzzi (on 10 September 2009) Wow ioi said "nearly 4 millions" this means it wasn't able to sell 290k? With 50k in Japan I find it difficult to believe, i thought 240k was easy for America and others combined... | |
| Paul (on 06 September 2009) I just got this. The flying is amazing. | |
| dark_gh0st_b0y (on 05 September 2009) amazing legs! | |
| elmerion (on 04 September 2009) Watch out for the legs | |
| Buzzi (on 04 September 2009) 4 m seller next week! | |
| scottie (on 02 September 2009) Because there is more than double the install than Japan and it has been out longer in Others than Americas, where the userbase is close | |
| IxisNaugus (on 02 September 2009) Why is this doing best in Others? | |
| Wii_Master (on 02 September 2009) The only drawback of this game is you need to have Motion Plus so its no use for multiplayer unless you fork out another 20 for Motion Plus...I wish Ninty included 2 Montion Pluses ohwell I am happy for what I got cause hey atleast we got one... | |
| gansito (on 02 September 2009) i prefer wii play, this gets a 6 if you ask me, some games are uninspiring, and add the fact that you need more wii motion + to play multiplayer isnt cool | |
| uno (on 01 September 2009) THE WII IS DOOMED!!! | |
| SmokedHostage (on 01 September 2009) Been playing it for a few days and I have to say that it's amazing.. I love this. | |
| PlaystaionGamer (on 31 August 2009) OMG great sales | |
| Buzzi (on 31 August 2009) this is son fun! the airplane is just amazing, the swordplay is epic, i liked a lot also archery and cycling...it's a great game at a low price (50 = WM+game), it's a must have for every wii owner! | |
| Shadowfest3 (on 30 August 2009) Wow! I didn't expect this game to be that much fun but it has been. Table Tennis, Archery, and Golf are my favorites so far. I have been battling it out in Table Tennis for the past 30 - 45 minutes and boy was it a blast. I like this better than the tennis in the regular Wii Sports mainly because it's singles and not doubles. Anyways, I can't wait to play it some more! | |
| dark_gh0st_b0y (on 28 August 2009) great legs, WM+ = success | |
| TheConduit (on 28 August 2009) 9th game to sell a million copies on the Wii in Japan Neither the PS3 or Xbox 360 have 1 | |
| a3hmax (on 27 August 2009) ŋHow many WM+ has been sold? counting those packed with wsr, gst, vt2009, tw2010 and and without any game can be 5 million. | |
| scottie (on 26 August 2009) Ooh, adjustments. Now it'll deffinately hit 1 million in each territory next week!! | |
| marcianito (on 26 August 2009) a million in all territories next week | |
| Killergran (on 25 August 2009) Adjusted up? Or adjusted down? | |
| Justin (on 24 August 2009) Tremendous sales. | |
| Majin-Tenshinhan (on 22 August 2009) I think America can do it. It's not 100%, but I'm gonna bet on it. | |
| TWRoO (on 22 August 2009) Hmm.. ok then, so Japan and Others is certain, but I still doubt America, it needs 119k. | |
| Azure15 (on 21 August 2009) @twroo the last week in japan (wk 8) hasn't joined the tally for some reason its at 976k over there... lmao | |
| SaviorX (on 21 August 2009) @TWRoO The last week in Japan (Week 8) hasn't joined the tally for some strange reason. It is at like 976k over there. | |
| TWRoO (on 21 August 2009) @Majin. Doubtful... Others is certain... America is iffy, but I suspect it won't quite make it... and Japan it certainly won't | |
| Erik Aston (on 21 August 2009) According to the VGC database, the best-selling sports games of each major sports franchise (all platforms) are... FIFA 08 - 8.19M Madden 07 - 8.83M Pro Evo 2008 - 8.28M Mario and Sonic - 11.45M To me, those are the first benchmarks of success for this game. | |
| Smeags (on 20 August 2009) This is the best kind of game, one that makes you smile from ear to ear. :-) | |
| Majin-Tenshinhan (on 20 August 2009) Next week it'll probably pass 1 million in all three regions simultaneously. Great :D | |
| RCTjunkie (on 18 August 2009) @ uno tilt your wii remote towards the center of the table. This has helped me. | |
| uno (on 17 August 2009) anyone else get trapped on the side of the table in Table Tennis? I was playing a crazy match and my Mii wound up on a side of the table where I couldnt move. | |
| Madanial (on 15 August 2009) @wiifan 75 did you flying in the tunnel under the moutain yet, there're 3-4 marks in there. | |
| sparkit34 (on 14 August 2009) I honestly was not excited about this game, and got it simply for the fact that it was Wii Sport !!. But i am surprisingly impressed at the depth of this game. It will take you many hours just to play every game once, and then many hours more to master each individual game. And thats before multiplayer. Definitely recommended. | |
| megaman79 (on 14 August 2009) Here's a tip - try harder noob :-) seriously tho, i haven't gotten up to 2500 yet. | |
| BoneArk (on 13 August 2009) Can anyone give me tips on how to beat the table tennis champion? | |
| shokenchi (on 13 August 2009) i cant get more than 2500 pts in table tennis. anyone got more, please share. | |
| NolSinkler (on 13 August 2009) I'm guessing this sells 15 mill. | |
| wiifan75 (on 12 August 2009) Tried several hours on the plane flying. Can't find all the damn check mark thingys. Missing like 8 of them. Drove me nuts. I like flying that little plain and mowing down crowds of balloon handlers with my double barrel pop gun. Still need to try out the other stuff. Did try the frisbee thing. Can't get control of that disc yet but looking forward to trying the Frisbee Golf. Wonder how good it is compared to TWPGA10 Frisbee Golf game. | |
| BoneArk (on 12 August 2009) I just beat the swordplay duel champion. =) | |
| katamaris4ever (on 10 August 2009) This game is a MUST HAVE only if you have at least two players playing regularly. True, I've been absorbed in a few of the events (clocked in four hours over two days just playing Swordplay Showdown and Table Tennis alone), but the real fun is competition. Hopefully this'll sell well over the Holiday season, and perhaps in the coming weeks. | |
| c0rd (on 10 August 2009) Took me nearly 2hrs, but Lucia, the Table Tennis champ, is finally DOWN. Epic match ending 8-6. Said it before, but again, this game is a must buy. If you don't have it... get it. | |
| megaman79 (on 08 August 2009) US cover is weird isnt it. PAL Aus gets the jap cover too, the porthole effect bcoz of the box. | |
| RCTjunkie (on 08 August 2009) I prefer the euro/japan cover compared to the USA's | |
| KingHenry (on 08 August 2009) You cannot compare this game to wii fit. You can't buy a balance board from retailers without wii fit, where as you can buy the motion plus separately. Wii sports resort has no chance vs wii fit, since wii fit is easily going to be the second highest selling game on the wii. A comparison between MK wii is more reasonable, and i believe this game will produce MK wii like numbers in the long run. This game is actually fun, so that will help it's sales. | |
| puffy (on 07 August 2009) Killergran, you have to remember that this time of year is generally the lowest for sales and so the sales of Wii Sports Resort are even more phenomenal | |
| Killergran (on 07 August 2009) Good opening and somewhat strong legs. Nothing compared to Wii Fit, but still... Holiday season could be really big for this game. It's always hard to predict legs on games, but I think this one will have a very good mouth-to-mouth staying power. 10 million lifetime at the least. | |
| BoneArk (on 07 August 2009) I beat the basketball champs(pick-up game)on my first try, but lost three in a row after that. :( | |
| Fleeman (on 06 August 2009) add the US total and its 2 million total | |
| Majin-Tenshinhan (on 06 August 2009) Wow. Second week in Others higher than first week. This game is going to kill. | |
| TheConduit (on 06 August 2009) numbers for others seem to low | |
| Moneyman83 (on 06 August 2009) Great game, I highly recommend getting it. | |
| c0rd (on 05 August 2009) This game rocks. Definitely worth the money. | |
| MasterZack (on 05 August 2009) i want this game, but is very expensive! | |
| Soma (on 05 August 2009) Finally got this game! Is better than expected, I really liked all the games. | |
| famousringo (on 04 August 2009) If you haven't yet, turn on Miis pulled from online. I kicked Michael Jackson's ass in table tennis yesterday. That guy puts supernatural spin on his shots. | |
| wiifan75 (on 04 August 2009) Bowling 10 frames with 100 pins each was just so freaking awesome. I like bowling like that. Haven't made it past the bowling and swords yet. Working on getting past those. :-) | |
| famousringo (on 03 August 2009) @ Boneark I've heard rumours that the WM+ drains more power, but I've never found it to be noticeable. I mean it has more chips, so I'm sure it has more draw, but nothing so dramatic that it should drain batteries in a day. I strongly recommend NMH rechargables if you aren't using them already. | |
| jameslefeber (on 01 August 2009) IF YOU OWN WII GET THIS GAME, IF NOT BUY A WII! | |
| puffy (on 01 August 2009) Nice to see Japanese sales hover around 70k for 2 weeks running | |
| shokenchi (on 01 August 2009) i hope they make table tennis better cuz its damn fun. but the table tennis champ is a bitch to beat. still havent beaten her lolz. | |
| Theo (on 31 July 2009) This game looks really fun, defo pickin this up. I like the way they brought back 100 pin bowling cause I loved it in the first one ; ) | |
| BoneArk (on 31 July 2009) Does anyone here knows if the Wii Motion Plus takes a lot of power from batteries?, b/c my new batteries are almost completely drained and I bought them Monday. | |
| SJGohan3972 (on 31 July 2009) @OkayDokey, just keep your sword at the same angle the opponent does and they can't block your attacks, 4 or 5 hits and they are gone. This works up until your almost pro when they start having quicker reflexes and you are forced to use blocks and counterattacks. (PS. In 2 hours of playing Sword Duels I am nearly at lvl. 2000) | |
| famousringo (on 31 July 2009) @ Christhor EU tends to buy Wii games slowly, but steadily. Many Wii games post a bigger second week than the first in this region. And I remember back when Halo 3 launched, everybody thought Halo fans had already bought a 360 in anticipation or for some other shooter, yet it delivered a large, sustained hardware boost. Big games move hardware, it's as simple as that. | |
| Christhor (on 31 July 2009) I find it odd that the game had a bigger opening in Japan than in Others... But then again I also find it odd that this game gave the Wii any boost at all, considering that the original is bundled with the system. | |
| megaman79 (on 31 July 2009) @Okey, take the strap and condom off and its lighter. Just don't drop it. | |
| --OkeyDokey-- (on 31 July 2009) I can't get past stage 6 on swordplay ._. | |
| RCTjunkie (on 31 July 2009) YES! One million! Only 19 more to go. ;) And I find myself going back to basketball.... | |
| RCTjunkie (on 31 July 2009) YES! One million! Only 19 more to go. ;) And I find myself going back to basketball.... | |
| --OkeyDokey-- (on 31 July 2009) Sowrd fighting, archery and and power cruising are great. Everything else I played once and had no desire to return to. And is it just me, or does the Motion Plus and jacket make the Wii remote too bulky and heavy? | |
| Riot Of The Blood (on 31 July 2009) This actually looks fun. | |
| TheConduit (on 30 July 2009) Only one day sales for others | |
| SJGohan3972 (on 30 July 2009) great 6th week in japan, hopefully this will be a sign of good legs in japan and elsewere. I mean I assume this game will sell well, and well into the future as well. But I would like to see it do REALLY well. | |
| marcianito (on 30 July 2009) million yay! | |
| MontanaHatchet (on 30 July 2009) Million seller! | |
| wiifan75 (on 28 July 2009) Bought. Now ready to play. Can't wait to try sword fight tonight. A taste of Lightsaber possibilities that hopefully will come one day soon. | |
| BoneArk (on 28 July 2009) I happy I bought this game and an extra wii motion plus. :) | |
| Madanial (on 28 July 2009) stage 20 in sword play is hard, 95% is the best i did now. XD | |
| thetonestarr (on 27 July 2009) I love what I've played so far. Definitely need to get further into it and unlock ALL the gameplay modes and whatnot. My best at 3-point-shot is 21/30. LOVE IT. =) | |
| Arius Dion (on 27 July 2009) The game is awesome. Flying is dope, sword play is dope, table tennis, archery, I even like basketball. All of the games feel like a sneak peak into a variety of different established Nintendo franchises; Star fox, Kid Icarus, and of course Zelda (3 hearts? for showdown?) I'm really excited to see how they utilize M+ in a full blown adventure game. | |
| --OkeyDokey-- (on 27 July 2009) This game is pretty fun. I might get it. | |
| RCTjunkie (on 27 July 2009) The sword adventure game has epic music! | |
| Me (on 26 July 2009) amazing game, sword fighting table tennis and frisbee are great fun. Archery is also cool. | |
| TopCat8 (on 26 July 2009) This game is fun. I mostly played the jet ski game today. I need to play it again when I have more time. | |
| shokenchi (on 26 July 2009) sears have the copies but they wont sell it until tuesday. wat bs. i guess ill order online to save time and money. | |
| marcianito (on 26 July 2009) very good legs in Japan | |
| richardhutnik (on 26 July 2009) The sword game is a type of awesome fun, that I just can't explain. I feel like a swashbuckler playing around, do a move, and go "OLE!". The other games are good additions also. | |
| Razorblood (on 26 July 2009) So Much Fun. Crazy. I think it may give Brawl a run for its money for the fastest selling first week. But I say...800k First week and stays on top. Word of mouth will help greatly. | |
| KingHenry (on 26 July 2009) 100k for america? I think that is too conserved. I'm thinking 300k+. It gets a whole week to sell right? I think all first weeks for all regions will be similar. | |
| sep85dd (on 26 July 2009) I predict 100 k in first week for america and nearly 300 k for others. | |
| darkheart709 (on 26 July 2009) bought this game today | |
| sep85dd (on 25 July 2009) Best game i played in the last 8 months. Frisbee and Crossbow is the greatest fun, skydiving is funny to. Now Nintendo can bring a Waverace on Wii :-) | |
| sizynski (on 25 July 2009) Wii Fit has done over 20 million. This will likely sell more. I'm thinking 30 to 40 million lifetime. | |
| Arius Dion (on 25 July 2009) Will have this game tomorrow. | |
| I LOVE GIGGS (on 25 July 2009) Very good legs! | |
| Killergran (on 24 July 2009) Awesome fun! | |
| Naum (on 24 July 2009) Wow that sword fighting sure makes you sweat alot after a few fights when the opponents gets better. | |
| CaptainDJ (on 24 July 2009) This games going to sell really well. I'm guessing at a total of 10 Million life time. | |
| SJGohan3972 (on 23 July 2009) Just a few more days, if I have enough money after rent and bills I will be picking this up! | |
| MonstaMack (on 23 July 2009) Jeff Gerrtsman gave this five stars! No more bias against the Wii :P | |
| snyperdud (on 23 July 2009) Good sales in Japan. I'm sure this will sell tons in the West. | |
| Naum (on 23 July 2009) tomorrow this game is mine :-) | |
| BoneArk (on 23 July 2009) Giantbomb.com gave this game a perfect score(5/5). | |
| Buzzi (on 23 July 2009) If famitsu is right this is dropping a bit faster that many people was expecting...but there is also MH3 that come out in 10 days, so maybe a lot of japanese are waiting for this to buy also WSR...that will be a big week for Wii! | |
| TheConduit (on 20 July 2009) I think you need multiple motionplus for multiplayer games that require both players to play at the same time Game like archery and bowling a=can be played with one wiimote with motion plus | |
| BoneArk (on 19 July 2009) Does anyone here know if u can play this game with one Wii motion plus or does everyone need a Wii motion plus? | |
| SJGohan3972 (on 18 July 2009) @TheConduit, The original Wii Sports and Wii Fit have both sold over 3 million in japan with worse starts so don't worry it will be at least a 2 million seller in Japan. | |
| TheConduit (on 18 July 2009) Games like Wii sport resort sell well over time It will sell over 1million in Japan | |
| Buzzi (on 16 July 2009) about 100k week 3 according to famitsu, there were better predictions... | |
| Paul (on 13 July 2009) The preliminary japanese data indicates a week three increase over week two. Very impressive. I'm going to trade in the conduit for this when it comes out. | |
| Faxanadu (on 13 July 2009) This might reach 1 million eventually | |
| Madanial (on 12 July 2009) In swordfight, i'm stuck at lv 18 now.Enemis there is 3 times harder than the first level. This game is hardcore i could say. XD | |
| SmokedHostage (on 11 July 2009) @TheConduit In Japan, easily. | |
| Majin-Tenshinhan (on 11 July 2009) I want this game too. Cool, 500k. This'll fly up the charts once it's released in US and EU. | |
| TheConduit (on 11 July 2009) Cna this beat Modern warfare 2 | |
| uno (on 10 July 2009) very excited for dis game!! | |
| Killergran (on 10 July 2009) ... I WANT this game. | |
| SmokedHostage (on 10 July 2009) Half a million in 9 days. Color me impressed. | |
| TheConduit (on 06 July 2009) This + Monster Hunter Tri = Wii Domination in Japan not to forget that DQ10 is slated for a Wii release | |
| SmokedHostage (on 06 July 2009) Very nice opening. | |
| tjp3 (on 04 July 2009) Can't wait for this game. It looks really fun. I wasn't planning to buy this game a few months ago, but now I really want it. Less than a month to go! | |
| Hardcoregamer1989 (on 30 June 2009) kersed3 no that has nothing to do with it, wii play sold 18 million, wii music sold 2 million, wii fit sold 18 million... and all of them wasn't bundled except wii play that was bundled with a wiimote and wiifit was bundled with an board but im pretty sure that doesn't count, since no one will buy just the wii board | |
| Madanial (on 29 June 2009) Graphic in this game improve from Wii Sports, load time also shorten and interface is more easier to use. Wii Motion Plus really push gaming experience far beyond what Wii remote ever did. Everyone should get this game. :D | |
| SJGohan3972 (on 22 June 2009) this will be the next 3mil+ game in japan for the Wii, if DQX can do it too then the Wii will finally break the downward spiral of console big sellers in japan (they didn't leave they just went to the DS :) | |
| megaman79 (on 20 June 2009) jap. release in 5 days. Im going to guess no. 1 debut. | |
| BoleroOfFire (on 04 June 2009) lol@kersed... Can't wait for the sword fighting and archery! (Neither can my mom lol). | |
| madmaniac (on 19 May 2009) @ kersed3 Maybe you should look at japanese sales!! This will do good, I'm sure of it | |
| kersed3 (on 13 May 2009) As long as this game isnt bundled with wiis, it wont do good. That's the reason the first one is doing so good... its bundled with every single Wii. | |
| SJGohan3972 (on 28 April 2009) first day purchase, another 10 million seller on the Wii methinks | |
| Alby_da_Wolf (on 25 March 2009) I start wondering: are rickety characters mandatory in Wii games? :-P | |
| Explosivo (on 15 March 2009) What ClaudeLv250 said. Can't wait to try Motion+. I hope it will be like what I thought the Wii was from the beginning. | |
| ganondorf7799 (on 13 February 2009) no Release Dates??? | |
| Green Penguin (on 10 February 2009) I predict 9.6 million copies WW by the end f wii's time. Just missing 10 million | |
| Cheebee (on 31 January 2009) The water in those sceenshots looks really sweet. :) | |
| ganondorf7799 (on 21 December 2008) First week more than 1.5 million WW | |
| madmaniac (on 18 December 2008) I'm getting this for sure !! | |
| Batman...WTF? (on 16 August 2008) Develepor Unknown? Oh right... I heard Sony's looking into putting this on the Ps3. Lol? | |
| ClaudeLv250 (on 09 August 2008) I want to try the MotionPlus but the game itself isn't high on my list... | |
| Naum (on 09 August 2008) I'm really looking forward playing that sword and jet ski game with my friends. Can't remember how many fun hours we have had witt Wii Sports. | |
| Mezelf13 (on 09 August 2008) Really great game. Even for Core gamers! | |
| koopatrooper (on 16 July 2008) oh the cute puppy!!!! man i hate that BITCH who played the frisbee game | |
| SmokedHostage (on 15 July 2008) I'd buy this for.. more than a dollar. | |
| RCTjunkie (on 15 July 2008) Ha ha!! The frisbee-throwing game owns ALL!!! | |
| Bored4life (on 15 July 2008) Death to Hardcore Gaming Bwahahahahahahahahah! |
