| Commando (on 28 January 2011) 1 Million!!! (US) | |
| Commando (on 19 January 2011) wow just under 7 thousand below the million mark in US... GO MKvsDCU! | |
| Samara360 (on 24 January 2010) Pretty good game, but the gore is a disgrace to Mortal Combat ( I don't own this game but played it briefly) | |
| Burning Typhoon (on 10 November 2009) Tekken 6 on 360 wont do well... Think about it, everyone knew from the start that this was a PS360 game. But, there are people who believe Tekken 6 is PS3 exclusive. Also, fighting games aren't as big as shooters, and that's what you buy a 360 for. MW2 Vs. Tekken 6 = a loss for Tekken every time on 360. It's great this game sold so well, but, you have to think of how many people just want just one single fighter, or other factors. Oh, and MKvDC never had to go against MW2. I hope this game says far ahead of sales Vs. Tekken so that namco learns a lesson. | |
| MonstaMack (on 01 October 2009) I still can't believe this hasn't been on sale in the US. I've been waiting for a $25 or $30 price point forever. Congrats to Midway for keeping this at a high price point and still selling pretty damn well. | |
| Boneitis (on 01 October 2009) @ jonkoncak Better yet, lets hope the new Mortal Kombat games play more like the classics. Why break away from what made the series famous? | |
| jonkoncak (on 09 June 2009) Just hope that the next owners fo the MK name will release a sequel w/DC characters. This is a great game. | |
| LordMatrix (on 09 May 2009) Soul Calibur 4, now Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe and soon Street Fighter 4 I bet Tekken 6 will be a million seller later this year also! Are fighting games coming back? | |
| Gabriel84 (on 08 May 2009) Wow, congratulations | |
| kabelfritz (on 08 May 2009) i cant believe it made it | |
| MontanaHatchet (on 08 May 2009) Million seller! | |
| Jexy (on 25 April 2009) that was overall PS360, obviously, or there would be a million copies on the shelves. Given that stores only seem to have a couple copies of the game leads me to believe VGC is right on with the numbers. and the sales aren't done, so it should pass a million and considering it doesn't have a japan release, has done just as good if not better than SC4 and maybe even SF4 | |
| boxydancer (on 22 April 2009) Wow, these sales are really impressive. Did almost as well as SC4 despite far less advertising. | |
| thetonestarr (on 21 April 2009) @Jexy - Is that MK vs. DC as a whole, or one specific console? MK vs. DC as a whole, we've got 1.85m tracked, which is sold to consumers. Midway is reporting sold to retailers, so it's likely that we're slightly overtracked here. Also: I now have my hands on EVERY main-series Mortal Kombat to date except this one. DO WANT. | |
| Jexy (on 13 April 2009) in their recent 10-K filing, midway reported selling over 1.9 million copies of the game | |
| Gabriel84 (on 03 April 2009) 0.96 m now :o Even the Ps3 version could pass 1 m eventually I think | |
| Barozi (on 26 March 2009) only 50k to go. MK is still a strong name | |
| Jexy (on 24 March 2009) nice adjust up, more in lines with the 1.8 mill shipped since there aren't that many on the shelves | |
| shinyuhadouken (on 12 March 2009) almost at 700,000. very impressive. | |
| machoking (on 05 March 2009) 1mil | |
| Commando (on 25 February 2009) Come on! Get that 1mil baby! | |
| black7xxx7 (on 15 February 2009) when will midway learn and make a true mortal kombat with original fatalities thats what made mortal kombat what it is today then they abandon fatalities and make it something stupid. hopefully the next mortal kombat title is a true mortal kombat and have fatalities like the first 3 mortal kombats i remember when liu kang turned to a dragona and ate his opponent head off that was awesome hopefully they will take some inspiration from super street fighter 4 and see that 2d fighters still work | |
| Gabriel84 (on 28 January 2009) 800k already! | |
| Jexy (on 28 January 2009) Official Midway accouncement just said that MK/DC has sold over 1.8 million units as of now including the Kollectors Editions on PS360. | |
| Jexy (on 26 January 2009) Yeah I wouldn't listen to that guy anyway, he's just a spammer hater who got banned again | |
| Barozi (on 26 January 2009) Actually it sold good and Midway is already developing the next Mortal Kombat game | |
| Egghead (on 07 January 2009) Midway need to badly restructure and shed a lot weight. The strength of this can keep them going for a while | |
| Majin-Tenshinhan (on 05 January 2009) Combined sales for 360 and PS3-version is now at 1,06 million :) Awesome! | |
| Egghead (on 05 January 2009) Yes but being in the holiday and releasing in the holiday, BIG difference. We all know the hype and the sales a game gets at launch is a huge part of the lifetime sales | |
| Jexy (on 04 January 2009) The holiday does have a lot to do with its sales, but SCIV was also out during this holiday and didn't see any sales spike. SCIV had an opening 3 times as big, but fell hard and fast on PS360... MKDC had a small opening and has been much more consistant, although a dropoff is obvious and expected after the holiday. | |
| Jexy (on 04 January 2009) I'd like Doomsday and Lobo from the DC side, although both would be Boss like characters with their strength, and I want Reptile and Noob Saibot... although there are many more solid choices they could go with as well, like Kung Lao, Ermac, and heck.... Johnny Cage for some humor :p | |
| Egghead (on 04 January 2009) Thats only because its come out in the holiday | |
| Barozi (on 04 January 2009) Future million seller on the 360. Even more surprising: I think it'll outsell Soul Calibur IV | |
| Jexy (on 29 December 2008) I have 400 pts just waiting around for DLC for this.... I hope Boon gets his way and comes out with them as a late Holiday present | |
| Egghead (on 27 December 2008) Lets hope the success of this game keeps Midway affloat for a while longer | |
| elzumo (on 26 December 2008) Is Midway still functional enough for downloadable content/characters? I want Mileena! :( | |
| Gabriel84 (on 21 December 2008) sales r going up everywhere good sign! great for midway | |
| Jexy (on 14 December 2008) Great game! The only thing it needs are some DLC characters and I'll be set! Great gameplay and graphics, and just fun to pick up and play against a friend! | |
| davepete22 (on 04 December 2008) this game is great. A much needed improvement to the series and savior for midway. MK foreva. | |
| OmegaRugalv3 (on 03 December 2008) I thought its better than the other 3D Mortal Kombats as this one felt more like the classic 2D games which are still better than all of these 3D games. | |
| Egghead (on 02 December 2008) Holding steady, hopefully this gives Midway some MUCH needed cash | |
| Majin-Tenshinhan (on 02 December 2008) I love this game. The other 3D MKs were waaaaayyy too gimmicky. | |
| DanBal76 (on 28 November 2008) Disappointing. It's worst than the last gen MKs (Deadly Alliance, Deception and Armageddon). It has less combos and the gameplay had a turn for the worst (why the hell hold the L trigger or use the analog stick for 3D movement?). A shame. | |
| McDonaldsGuy (on 28 November 2008) Seems like a barebones MK to me. No unlockable characters (except for 2 bosses), no Krypt, no alternate costumes, no minigames (ie chess, puzzle, etc. etc.), and stuff like that. Has good gameplay though. I wonder if DC will allow gore DLC for MK characters and bad guys? Just no fatalities for Superman and Batman. I don't see why not, Batman movies are usually very violent (just watch RETURNS or TDK or even Batman89) and Superman comics are violent, anyways. I mean Superman DIES and it's pretty bloody IIRC... so why not? | |
| Barozi (on 28 November 2008) I'm surprised by the very strong first week NA sales. | |
| SSSBOLIMAR (on 22 November 2008) dont under estimate this game its really good amazing graphics and great gameplay evn though it might not seem like the bloody mk your used to but this is a great fighter 8.5/10 like OXm said |
