I've just finished the game, very sweet, the story is maybe a bit weird but I love the characters and atmosphere.
That kind of games is just perfect for the DS imo. Exactly what I'm looking for with a handeld.

Impressive legs on Others.
SaviorX (on 24 December 2009)
Saw some ads for this in America a few months ago.
axumblade (on 27 November 2009)
@Majin, It's because people know who Professor Layton is now and they like the games. :) I'm glad it took off in the U.S. though. Too many games that should have taken off that seem to be ignored.
Majin-Tenshinhan (on 27 November 2009)
2 million! Hooray!
Majin-Tenshinhan (on 25 November 2009)
It's tracking better than the previous one in both America and Others actually. If legs can hold it up, it may well sell even better than the first one did!
nordlead (on 17 November 2009)
Hopefully America has great legs, as this game was great.
novasonic (on 14 November 2009)
I so almost cried at the end. Epic!
oni-link (on 31 October 2009)
hopefully americas would catch up!!!
Majin-Tenshinhan (on 29 October 2009)
Just finished it, and it's every bit as great as the first one. Can't wait for them to bring #3 over here.
hiska-kun (on 16 October 2009)
Don't think so, I'm from spain and Layton is the best selling DS game in spain too
Fleeman (on 10 October 2009)

st_muscat0 (on 01 October 2009)
Great opening sales for Others.
nordlead (on 11 September 2009)
You can probably beat both in 10 hours if you are really good at puzzles. I just finished off the main story on this one in 13 hours, but I still have the bonus rooms and about 9 puzzles I missed in the game. Also, tack on the 30+ weekly download puzzles. Mind you, I did waste a lot of time on some puzzles that I didn't solve (the 80+ picarats ones are really tough)
Both games are really worth the money.
keywe666 (on 08 September 2009)
how long is this game? and how long is curious village?
nordlead (on 08 September 2009)
I agree that Curious Village is better, but this is still a great game. If you want the more charming game, get Curious Village. If you want the game with the darker storyline, get Diabolical Box.
whatz3rname (on 01 September 2009)
Just beat it. Not as good Curious Village in my opinion (the story was weaker), but it's a really great game. No doubt about it.
Now bring on the Final Time-Travel!
whatz3rname (on 27 August 2009)
Got it today. Going to play it tonight. With a nice cup of tea, of course ;)
RPG_Fanatic (on 26 August 2009)
Layton Get. This definitely has much better presentation. More cut scenes and more voicework with moving mouths during non FMV scenes.
makingmusic476 (on 25 August 2009)
I'm broke, but still managed to scrounge up enough cash to get this today!
cliffhanger (on 23 August 2009)
woah this came out in 2007 in Japan? What the hell took so long to get it over here?
Faxanadu (on 01 August 2009)
Will this ever hit 1 million?
Thechalkblock (on 29 July 2009)
Pre-ordered and fully paid off. August the twenty-fourth could not come any sooner.
whatz3rname (on 25 July 2009)
Thechalkblock (on 03 June 2009)
Hurray! First day purchase.
nordlead (on 25 March 2009)
Yay, this should be coming out in the west in ~6 months.
SJGohan3972 (on 23 December 2008)
Nice sales exspecially for just japan.
smac (on 20 December 2008)
Sales are crazy for Curious Village in Others, why haven't they announced a date outside Japan? Do they not want our money?
Thechalkblock (on 10 December 2008)
Where is the US release date?
WiiStation360 (on 26 September 2008)
It has been out in Japan for almost a year now. I want an American release date!
Blacksaber (on 07 September 2008)
Getting this game when its out in america
*~Onna76~* (on 20 December 2007)
You need to your brains to play this game indeed, but it AIN'T a brain training game!! Its a point & click adventure / puzzle game with over 130 different types of puzzles. To get through the game and continuing the story you'll need to solve a certain amount of puzzles. Hint coins are hidden across the entire world to help you out just when you're totally stuck with a puzzle. I've got both versions.... and they're great!
dajeff (on 20 December 2007)
I think it is a mystery game, I think it may be kinda like Pheonix Wright meets the Hardy Boys...
Oyvoyvoyv (on 13 December 2007)
I believe it is some kind of brain training game.
Pandora's box is an impossible excercise, so you probably have to puzzle your way into the final puzzle - Pandora's box.
