I dont, hell if video games are ever going to be seen as a full fledged media on the same level as TV and movies their'e going to have to explore some realisitc, gritty and sometimes disturbing terriorty.

I don't have a problem with it but I can't say whether its pointless or not until I've played the level in the context of the whole single player campaign.

Does it really matter since you can skip it? If the disposal is at the hands of the consumer then there's no room for complaining. Let people enjoy their game that they paid for because that is what this product is there for. For me it just adds realism to the game and it shows what you are fighting against when you take control of the protagonist. Your getting more than one view; the terrorists and the protagonist. Let's leave ESRB and reviews up to the judging and just have fun with the game.
That's what I would say to whoever finds this part of the game 'sick'. Why be so dramatic about it, fuck...

At least you get more variety in GTA....
You have all these guns, and there's always jsut plain old running them over. Also shooting them with a tank is pretty good.
