funny that two topics both call it dragon rising. WTF?
don't make a topic to just bring flame war if you don't even care about the game. And if you cares about the game at all you would not call it dragon rising.

CoD4 absolutely looked best on PC. Not only that, but it didn't have nearly the graphical downgrade in online multiplayer the PS3 and 360 versions did, and five times the player cap.
What are some examples of games this generation that play or look worse on PC? Keep in mind that when I say "Play" I'm not refering to mouse and keyboard controls, since anyone can just plug in a gamepad (I know I do for some games).

Oblivion on PS3 looks very similar to Oblivion on PC I think.

@Boutros Oblivion depends a lot on how much you push the graphical envelope on PC. My laptop can run it with all sliders to the max and 1280x800 4xAA, with 50-60 FPS, and it looks way better than the PS3 version, especially on draw distance, shadows, textures and the huge quantity of grass that the PS3 version simply cannot handle.

Gears of War, The Halo games last gen, FIFA PC is actually based on the PS2 engine rather than the PS3/360 one
but yeah multiplats will always look better and control better on the PC (Master race).

Hell no. It does not come even close, specially with all the graph mods released.

Is that including when on Shadowmere? I find my framerate drops from 60, down to 25-30 FPS when riding on the speedy horse!

If I get it it will be PS3 for me. My PC definitely doesn't have the goods to play this. And my laptop probably doesn't, at least probably not good enough in the graphics card department to play on settings that make it superior to the console version. My laptop is good enough (just) to play NeverWinter Nights 2, but it is pretty laggy, I have to use fairly low performance settings and load times are horrendously long exp when playing online, and NWN2 crashes on me A LOT. If DA:O requires better specs than NWN 2 then the PC option is absolutely out of teh question.
Sad, because any friends that I could play online with will be getting it on PC, if they get it. And they will get it because they all LOVED BG I & II.
Oh yeah, and on metacritic (which while flawed has to be a better indicator than one review site on its own) PC > PS3 >360. But that's at a low number of reviews so PS3 vs. 360 is far from settled. PS3 needs to be getting as good or slightly better reviews cf. 360 without the PS3 having to put in extra content like Batman:AA. I don't care what your console preferrences the PS3 is a high quality HD gaming machine and people who have it don't deserve to be given sub-standard offerings in the multiplat department.
Yes I see you over there too Wii owners - Fifa 10 anyone?

Bought it today. It's definitely built as a PC game. I always wondered why the graphics were sort of unimpressive... it's cause it's clearly built for the isometric view option in the PC version, in which the game looks gorgeous. Still not bad graphics in the over-the-shoulder views at all, but yeah, this is built as a PC game. Even more obvious is the gameplay, which closely resembles other PC RPGs of similar types. I've read that the game is made way easier on consoles, and I can see why that would be. They had to dumb down the difficulty a lot to compensate for the lack of hotkeys, isometric views, and tactical pausing. I'm sure it's still a good game on consoles, but having played it for a few hours now I can say with confidence if PC is an option for you here, more than almost any other multiplat this gen, this is a game you should buy on PC.
