yes, if someone is vanilla, it means they have no special abilities. A vanilla townie can only talk and vote during the day. A vanilla mafia can talk/vote during the night, and murder someone during the night.
A power role is someone like the cop/doctor who can send pm's to the moderator at night (or some special day abilities) or has other special abilities beyond the vanilla roles.
Also, never claim you have a vanilla role unless you want the mafia to win.

Indeed - like, everyone is able to take a Night Action, and in Mafia's case this would be a night action that is not killing people.

IMPORTANT: I have updated the first post with a list of all character names and a clarification on what the names mean. Speculate away.
@Khuutra:Everyone has a power role, including Mafia. Or at the very least they are unique in some way.
@Rainbird: Yes, I mean anything special. But that includes just being unique, not necessarily a night action.

lol! You are as bad as DGC is against Falcon! :P Only real difference is that nordlead doesn't manage to stay alive until the end like Falcon does. I need an arch nemesis. makingmusic sounds good. FoS: TruckoSaurus How dare you kill me last round when I was investigating you! You big meanie!

The worst thing, is that I didn't even do anything to him 
Anyways, I stayed alive in the first game and town won. I died the first night to hatmoza and the werewolves in the second game, and in the 3rd the doctors killed me
