Actually, its not illeagal to download, the illegality comes from distributing it to others. Its basically the same law that comes to attention at the begenning of a movie where it talks about how much you can be fined for broadcasting it without permission.

Having pro only makes it legal and profitable to them. NOT to you, before they let porn sites post their garbage on it. Thats how they made their money, now pro is tricking people into thinking it is legal to download music off. The artist that brought you that song is notgettign a penny of that.

Not exactly, just use a program like kazaa that gives you the option to *not* let others download from you and you will be just fine legally. In other words, just downloading music for example does not necessitate that you will let others download from you.

I suppose. You still are in possession of music you did not pay for...that has to be illegal somehow...even if you'll never get caught. And also...not allowing others to download from you is just leeching...and if everyone did that the system wouldn't work...

yeah itunes and napster are legit. If the ESMA caught you with limewire you could be fined or even jailed.
