If the PS3 drops to $300 Microsoft should:

A) Drop the price of the Arcade down to $150.

B) Keep the Arcade the same price but include a harddrive with it.

C) Pay for more exclusive "DLC"

D) Pay for more "timed exclusives"

E) Offer a free year of XBL with each console.

F) Try and buy Sony.

G) Do nothing and see how things play out.

H) Shift focus to the X-Box 720.

I) All of the above.

Any of these sound like a plan to you? What's your take?

Should brace for a quick defeat

G) Do Nothing until they see whether it has a long term effect or not...

Microsoft is in the driver seat right now...

KZ2 + Yazuka 3 only put Sony on top for one week...

A price drop now or until September is useless... Sales aren't high enough to justify it until then...

A) Drop the price of the Arcade down to $150. Just like a $300 PS3 isn't feasible at the moment, neither is this.

B) Keep the Arcade the same price but include a harddrive with it. Terrible idea, parents (who I'm guessing buy the most of these) don't look at what comes in the box, they just look at the price.

C) Pay for more exclusive "DLC" They want to do this anyways

D) Pay for more "timed exclusives" See above

E) Offer a free year of XBL with each console. They could but won't

F) Try and buy Sony.

G) Do nothing and see how things play out. That hasn't been their mantra this generation yet so I don't know why they would start

H) Shift focus to the X-Box 720. They're probably already doing this, they just aren't telling you.

I) All of the above.

I guess G) but would add to it sit and wait for Sony to go broke
Also it would be better for them to wait until Sept/Oct to respond in time for the xmas sale period. Much greater impact for a price cut then.

Never argue with idiots

This.

When the PS3 came out it was gonna trounce the 360...  Didn't happen...

2007 was supposed to be the year of the PS3...  Didn't happen...

2008 was supposed to be the year of the PS3... Didn't happen...

2009 is supposed to be the year of the PS3...  It still hasn't materialized...

What makes you think things are going to change this year simply with a price drop?  Assuming a $100 price drop it is still $100 more expensive then 360... Until Sony reaches $199, the price drops mean nothing.  And by then 360 will be $100-125

You would think, that Sony fanboys would have figured out by now (after 2+ years of defeat) that Microsoft has a plan to deal with every move Sony has/will make this generation...

Drop the Arcade to $179
Drop Pro to $230 and add 120gb hd
Sell special edition (aka RE5) for $350 with 500gb hd and game
