Croteam has revealed it's working on the next instalment in the Serious Sam series.

It spilled the beans in an interview with Croatian magazine GamePlay, detailing the game as a "military tactical-action shooter" that takes place in the present day.

Serious Sam 3 will feature the same "in your face" gameplay that's made the series so popular, and be built on new technology in the form of Serious Engine 3.

No platforms have been detailed, although we expect it to feature predominantly on PC.
