disolitude says:
Wow...am i first?

PS3 did quite well. However so did everyone else. GTA4 was a console seller unlike most other self proclaimed console seller games thus far...

Jandre002 says:
haha but the Wii has been a hired assassin for months so it doesnt count! it sure did crush my fanboy dreams ...

Dark Odin says:
today in Playstation day in Europe, it has been said that PS3 already passed 360 sales in Europe (letīs not forget that here in VGChartz, Others include many others country outside europe).

And, PS3 is one million in Others behind 360. make your bets... how much time to pass??

PSaiki says:
Wii is a FAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OHHHH.................. WAIT.............................. =P

Hummmm ................... mot even GTA4 could knock dow the Wii sales in others.
Many fanboys are going to be angry.
So I was right when I sticked with Ioi predction.
I said at least 600k for Wii WW.

@ Dark Odin

Well, 1.4 mil on 360 isnt from EU. While there is 0.8 mil for PS3 not from EU.

Wow, lots of love for the Wii in Australia.

ZenfoldorVGI says:
I'm shocked with the Wii worldwide this week. Stockpiling has certainly been confirmed which makes me wish a lot of the detractors would apologize...

...right DMeisterJ?

Also, sick PS3 sales in others, WTH man, that's great, I can't believe it did so well.

Everything else is as expected. I was dead on with Kart and GTA in my personal predictions.

The Fury says:
This all looks about right. Keeping in mind that in Europe the best 360 (Elite) is now Ģ50 (near $100) cheaper then the PS3. Now that's the impressive part.

sep85dd says:
Only because of GTA4 that sales. wait 3,4 weeks, than Ds is back on Top and PS3 on 3rd or 4th place again.

Iron Man is doing bad in others, but surprised in Americas.
GTA sucks !

chinmoku says:
Strong PS3 sales. Awesome.
Posted on: 05/07/08, 09:37
Squall_Leonhart says:
Amazing PS3 sales!

It sells the amount it sold total last week in others alone! I'm sure Sony will be happy with that number :D
Posted on: 05/07/08, 11:40
Apollo says:
those are amazing numbers for PS3, and just for one game?.
now they need to follow it up with Metal Gear 4. shame about the other delays though. (HOME, Kiilzone 2).
360 is still showing its strongly in the market, and its has the best price point, and best software. so nothing changes there. the Wii strangely with Mario Kart I expected more, but lets be honest, how can Nintendo improve on perfection?.

kamil says:
So Australia and Other didn't get GTA? They almost at the same level as in previous week.

The biggest PS3 win is Italy where it increased 95% while X360 only 37%. There were reports of X360 sold outs (Arcade and Pro budnles but also GTAIV) in Italy from Gfk, so this may be the reason. PS3 also edged X360 in Spain with great 119% grow vs. respectable 76%.
For other regions (excluding Austria and Other) increase was around 100% for both system.

sami_630 says:
Xbox 360 is overtracked by VGChartz since Sony announced that PS3 userbase>X360 userbase in Europe.

jkimball says:
Well played Nintendo, well played.

They beat PS3 in all three areas this week. Obviously Japan will be wii starved, but it should be enough to beat PS3 there as well giving Wii a clean sweep on PS3's major release.
Posted on: 05/07/08, 18:48
Dark Odin says:
So, GT5 Prologue, now GTA IV, next month MGS4. after this I wonder what will be the big game for PS3 keep the strong sales. Maybe Soul Calibur in July. tekken, resistance 2, and others must only arrive after October.
Posted on: 05/08/08, 19:10
obieslut says:
next for ps3 HAZE then MGS4. but then what has the ps3 got for the next couple of months
