Sony's E3 Website Code Contains "PS Vita" Several Times

by Harry Monogenis, posted on 02 June 2011 / 2,090 Views

Evidence that Sony's upcoming handheld --currently codenamed the "NGP" (Next Generation Portable)-- will be called the PS Vita seems to be mounting up, fast.

If your memory surpasses that of a pebble, you'd have remembered that several days ago a website owned by Sony had the word "PS Vita" in the URL; which brings you to a development website showing current "development platforms" including the PS2, PS3, PSP and so on. It's been said that Sony might update that specific page with PS Vita goodies once their E3 press conference is over.

Now someone has found the name "PS Vita" several times on Sony's official E3 website. But this wasn't found on the surface of the site, oh no, this person went ninja and found it on the website's source code. An image of it can be found below.

This could be nothing more than Sony playing tricks on us all -- but come on, really? What are your thoughts on this? Let us know.

I just noticed it's only one letter from Vista and Windows Vista sucked. Maybe after a year they'll reconfigure it, drop the subtitle, and add a number, then it will be everyone's favorite just like Windows 7.

PS Vita sounds like some kind of healthy granola bar.

It is prob called PS Vita, but i am still hoping SONY is using the same trick they used with PS Move (they trademarked PS Arc, had Arc used in their websites, etc up until the last minute)
