Warcraft/StarCraft Chinese Theme Park Not Just a Rumor

by VGChartz Staff, posted on 24 February 2011 / 1,349 Views

First rumored at a random French website back on February 7, the first non-concept images of the early construction work at Joyland - a World of Warcraft and StarCraft theme park - have surfaced via a Chinese news report. Whaaaaa?

Joyland will feature five themed sections in total: Terrain of Warcraft, Universe of StarCraft, Island of Mystery, Moles World, and World of Legend. What's more, it's supposed to be opening in March. As in, next month. Based on the images you can peruse below, it doesn't seem likely, but the Huffington Post source of this news did note that China has built an entine hotel in six days, so nothing is impossible.

Check out the images in the gallery below, or take a look at this very non-translated Chinese news report about the park, from what appears to be the Chinese version of YouTube(?):

Better than Disney World! Who wants to go to China with me this summer?

@Soleron: No they won't, International laws don't always work the same way as individual country laws...China seems to make spoofs of things like this all the time, and nothing happens to them. On topic: This looks amazing.

They're going to get sued unless they're very careful.
