Final Fantasy XIV Producer Promises to "Reboot" and "Rebuild"

Naoko Yoshida, the current producer of Square-Enix's latest megaflop Final Fantasy XIV: Online, has sent out an open letter to fans of the game.

Yoshida referenced last year's shake-up of the development team in the wake of the extremely vocal criticism the game received, and said that the new design manifesto includes the words "rebuild" and "reboot".

They've even put a poll up, in which users can vote for what areas of the game are in the biggest need of a tune up. Current account holders can visit said poll and voice their opinions.

Final Fantasy XIV: Online was released for the PC back in September of 2010, and Yoshida took over as a producer due to the game's lackluster reception in December.

i am also a FFXI player, and i was beta for FFXIV.. no hope for this titanic. need to make this MMO, action base and less time traveling

I hope the reboot goes well, I still have an interest for the game on PS3 (I am an old FFXI player)
