Final Fantasy IV Compilation Set for PSP

The PSP will be getting a port of the good old classic Final Fantasy IV, originally released as Final Fantasy II on the SNES outside of Japan, but that's not all. The latest issue of V Jump took a look at the upcoming Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection, which combines Final Fantasy IV together with the game Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. The After Years was released on cell phones originally, and then later ported to WiiWare last year.

For the PSP edition, they are redoing the visuals and also adding a new scenario that connects Final Fantasy IV with The After Years. There might be some other new stuff as well, but we'll have to wait for more info.

Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection is set for a PSP release in Spring 2011.

FFIV is my favorite one but i hoping they release this also on 3ds. Beat the original, gba and ds versions hehe. I dont want to buy a psp just for this game tho.

FF4 overkill man. If they include all of the DLC from The After Years on the PSP version, I'll just play that. I have 1000 Nintendo Points on my Wii and I was going to use 800 points to get The After Years. But I think I'm better off holding out for the PSP version now. I'm not hurting for games to play right now so I can wait.

I certainly hope its not the crap 'upgraded' DS graphics engine. Id rather they did the old school graphics than the vomit that was the FFIII and FFIV DS graphics engine.

Bought FFIV on SNES in 1992. Bought FF Chronicles on PSOne in 2001 . Bought FFIV on DS in 2007. Will buy FF IV Complete Collection on PSP in 2011. :-D

Awesome, FFIV hasn't been re-released in months! And they aren't even porting the new, high quality DS remake with graphics and voice acting, they're using the old 16-bit crap. That's terrific. From a marketing perspective it makes sense. Square has bad new games and good old games. May as well release the ones that are going to sell. But couldn't they at least re-release the rest of the good ones before they re-release FFIV and Chrono-trigger for the eighth times? I would pay for a FFVI remake on the DS like the one we got in FFIV. I don't give a sh*t about FFVII, but I know a remake of that would sell like bananas. After that they can go ahead and dissolve for all I care.

This news should be called "PullusPardus is buying FFIV the 5th time" well i don't mind the game is great, but what about FFIII ? , that game only got remade once, which is strange considering how the others got remade a billion times.
