Donkey Kong Country Returns Gets Lovely Boxart
by Nicholas Taylor, posted on 06 September 2010 / 21,309 ViewsPerhaps it is not much to the average gamer, but to any gamer who has been longing for a new Donkey Kong Country since the last installment was released back in 1996, this will certainly bring tears to your eyes. Absence of Kremlings be damned, it looks fantastic to anyone whose been missing some good old jungle hijinks. See the full boxart below.
Donkey Kong Country Returns is set for release on November 21st in the US, and currently only has a Q4 2010 window set for Europe. It will be released exclusively for Nintendo Wii. Check out the gamrFeed E3 2010 footage below:

Don't mind Cobretti. He mentions "adult" games like they"re any special. Truth is, most of those games he could call "adult" don't even require the dexterity and skill a game like DKCR is reported to require. This, and the fact most people who cry for adult games to be made, aren't even adult themselves (either in age, or in mentality).
Nice! No big surprise though. The game is a day 1 purchase for me. I like what I've seen and read about the game.
@jack100 Took the words out of my mouth. It really bugs me that people want "edgier, more mature" games just for the over-glorified violence and/or sex. Just because a game has bright graphics and is accessible to everyone doesn't make it childish.
Holy hell! Your video screwed up my display driver, got some very interesting colours going and my screen flashing black.
@Cobretti2 I agree with guiduc, shut up, and seriously stop saying adult IP, I'm probably older than you, and I would rather play a mario and DK games over somehting adult like GTA. Only idiotic teens want "adult" games so they can either act cool and say that they have the game, or oogle and the ladies in those games. Get a life! I apoligize if this may offend anyone, but I see it as true.
Shut up Cobretti, making a new IP cost too much money for such a little studio, that's a wise decision to give DK, it will sell like crazy and bring them a lot of cash.
guiduc, gran turismo has a lot of changes when they make a new version. I find this lame because if this is what retro wasted their talent on for the last two years then it is a poor use of a team by nintendo considering 3rd parties have abandoned the Wii, it was a perfect opportunity for RETRO to make an awesome new adult IP.
For the negative people, screw you. Awesome boxart. Rehash can't be, it's a new game. Sony rehashes Gran Turismo a lot then!
Another old game rehashed for Nintendo that people will go ape for *No Pun*
Reminds me of old times, but as far as I see, it really doesn't introduce anything new.
Ah...its just colorful thats all! Ok, its nice but nothing I didn't expect.
No No No it's not DK that looks like Reggie it's Reggie who looks alot like DK ;-) I love the boxart.. the more colors the better and it will probably help the game so sell even more copies.
Awesome... bout time Nintendo gives us some box art that does justice to the game it contains lol. Too many games lately have had just plain old boring generic boxart (I'm looking at you, MK Wii, NSMB Wii and Metroid: Other M!)
It might sound sad to ome, but I'm far more hyped for this game than anthing coming out this holiday season. Yes you heard me right, more than GT5, Fable 3, Golden Eye,ect
This will be the 3rd wii game I ever bought. Time for some old school
I think this game has a chance to sell 8-10 mill and move some Wii's off the shelf holiday time . first day purchase for me also.
