You Can Now Play Mario Kart in Your Own Balloonmobile

I know we've all been in this situation.  We're sitting around playing Mario Kart Wii, looking at all the controller options, and thinking out loud: "Hm, I can play with the remote sideways, or the remote inside a wheel, or the remote with a nunchuck, or just use an old GameCube controller, but there's got to be a better way!  If only I could actually sit in a giant balloon car that had its own steering wheel!"

CTA Digital has answered our prayers.

This inflateable balloon kart can support up to three hundred pounds, so it's not just for kids.  But kids like it too.  See, CTA Digital has a demo video at their web page, in which they actually asked a real a kid how she liked it, and she said "It's awesome."  The car can be inflated with any balloon pump, or your own lungs if you have the stamina.  The only part that doesn't inflate is the steering wheel, which you can very easily slide your Wii remote into, with or without a MotionPlus attached.

This balloonmobile will be released on June 27th, and can be pre-ordered for $39.99.  CTA will be at E3, and so will VGChartz.  Perhaps our destinies shall cross paths.

This accessory is ergonomics disaster. Simply because they forgot about back and armrests.

I didn't really get to see anything good on the demo. I wanna know how responsive it is. Does it steer slow so that it doesn't match the speed of just turning a wiimote in air? Or not? It may be fun to do while drinking or drugging.
