Okay, so it's not just about saying, "OMG DERE'S BOOBZ IN MA VIDJA GAME!"
But they sure don't hurt.
A six-minute video of leaked Heavy Rain footage from the French website www.jeuxvideo.com reveals, not only main character Madison Paige's unclothed form in a non-sexual shower scene (does that even exist in video games?), but also her using the toilet and then being attacked by two masked men with knives while she rolls around in her underwear.
It reveals some interesting gameplay mechanics and unique camera angles to make it feel very much like a movie... but be prepared for a lot of QTE button presses. Still, the action is solid, and Madison looks/acts like a real person would.
See the NSFW video below (but be warned: there's boobs!), and get pumped up for the PS3-exclusive release on February 23.
OH! And *spolier warning*: she doesn't wash her hands after using the bathroom. Euwww!

I loved Indigo Prophecy, so I know I'll love this.

Indigo Prophecy was a great game, but I'm just not interested in this. This video also doesn't interest me further into buying the game.
I'd rather have nudity stay out of video games because it's honestly never in good taste. Until they can make the storyline good enough to where a love scene actually works, then fine, but they're throwing them in for the publicity. Hell. EA seems to think that works with Dante's Inferno, aside from being a complete ripoff of GoW.
Aside from that. I like my women not looking like men. Please. Give us some sort of quality of Tifa from FF7. Hot girl with a J cup. I love how the Japanese think.
I think there is very much a need for nudity in video games. The huge market of 16 - 24 from ten years ago is now 26 - 34. As adults continuing to play video games, I think we deserve adult games. No one makes a big deal when an R rated movie has a nice shower scene, so what's the big deal about games? I like video games and I like naked women, so why not have both?

There's nothing wrong with nudity - actually I prefer nudity over violence by far. But the way it is presented and exploited for internet hype is just sooo adolescent-male-oriented... I can't help but roll my eyes, and the comments on this site don't help either.

I just reserved the game a couple of months on Amazon. I have to try and not view all the videos so that I do not spoil the plot:0)

Still don't see how this is a videogame. It's a movie that asks you to press some button to continue every 10 seconds.
There is some real real gameplay ...but it is just a point and click game
the only real big deal here appears to be the all NAKED people controversy that is working pretty good to spread to word about the game, but i think that when the reviews starts to pop-up the scores will be around the 8's and the few sony fan boys that will really buy the game will freak out around the internet saying that has a amazing script and blah blah...

I remember when Dragons Lair was inovative. Polished graphics really don't make a QTE game any better. Just my opinion but it looks like a rental to me. I like the idea behind this but someone needs to develop a new method of game play for this style of game.

Or, to sum up my thoughts in no more than eight words: "Dragon's Lair was a great game... in 1983."
Things I learned from this video:
1) Uncanny valley boobs are frightening.
2) PS3 owners will apparently forgive waggle so long as it's on their preferred system.
3) David Cage didn't learn a thing from the complaints about Fahrenheit.
I guess Quantic Dream deserve a compliment for making the woman look realistic, though. They could've easily gone the "antigravity breasts" route.
I guarantee you some over zealous activist is going to go nuts over this game and try to get it banned in the US......Which is why I'm going to get my pre-order copy on day 1. I want to get it before someone has a chance to censor it.
Also, some "bad" press may be good for this game. If this becomes a big deal in the US and more people know about it, everyone is going to want to buy it. This, in the end, will be good for game sales.
The potential for the gameplay evident in this trailer has re-awakened my interest in the potential of the game.
As to the nudity...it's no big deal. maybe it's just an American sensibility thing that people seem exercised by it. In Europe mainstream television carries nudity regularly and no one blinks an eye.
As to the fugly comments...what is the obsession with long hair? She looks fine to me.

The more I see the less I am interested in this game. It seems to be like a movie, but one that you cannot concentrate in the story because of some annoying button presses. I could understand if you're making some meaningful choices that would unroll different events. However, doing it for every mundane action or a scripted fight scene is to much of an inconvenience to me.

Also, I don't understand who says the title is a spoiler. A spoiler spoils (duh) the story, the plot, but we can't have a clue because we don't know anything about it, except that it's going to be mature. And a nude scene fits well (and I must say, it was about time for nude scenes to come to mature games... rivers of blood but not even a tit? It just doesn't make sense).

As for the person bitching about this site or whatever spoiling about the game, it's very simple. Just don't click the damn link that relates to Heavy Rain. I did it with Mass Effect 2 because I cared about not knowing one single bit of it and I avoided it without using the clicker on the mouse. It's very simple, I am sure a retard knows that.

Jeez, what's with Madison always getting naked? :D With all the positive reviews and my interest in interactive fiction games, I have high hopes for Heavy Rain. I still have to try Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy though.
As for whether Heavy Rain is niche, that depends on what your definition of niche is. Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy sold 800k worldwide according to Quantam. Thats probably multi-plat sales since I dont think the PC or PS2 version would sell that well standalone. But still pretty damn good. Does 800k count as niche? I think that's a big too big for niche. Now mainstream? Depends on your definition of mainstream. Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy may be somewhere in the middle. Heavy Rain, if the pre-orders are anything to go by, probably won't sell that much more but there's still some time and it could have legs. We'll see. It'll get a boost of some sort from better reviews I'd imagine (90+ instead of 85 average that Indigo Prophecy got). There is the issue of a lessened install base (compared to PC/PS2/Xbox) but the exclusivity hype can make up for that.

I don't know if it was all the hype but the graphics were disappointing for me. The animations were also very stiff and unnatural. The story looks like its going to be intense but the more I see the more I think this game is going to be very niche.

Question is, is there equal opportunity nudity that just hasn't been leaked? So far the titillating scenes are only of interest to horny males and lesbians. That cuts out the majority of women, and gay men. This game needs broad appeal so there needs to at least be some nice butt shots of a male character or 2. Need to see how it will play out, but I feel like people are hyping the graphics up too much. Due to the high expectations people have been hyping up regarding the graphics, I end up disappointed by how it looks, eventhough, if the other stuff works well, the graphics are real good.
