Nintendo has worked with Chinese multimedia company Tencent to release the Nintendo Switch in China over the last year.

Today at a press conference, Nintendo and Tencent announced the Nintendo Switch will launch in China on December 10 for 2099 yuan (roughly $300 USD). It includes a pre-installed demo for New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe Edition. It is also the launch launch title.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Super Mario Odyssey will launch for the Switch in China within a few weeks of launch.

Too bad they have to give Tencent a chunk to be allowed to sell in China. I wish more companies would tell China to fuck off with that nonsense. Alas, the market is too alluring for anyone to do that.

This could be huge for Nintendo, even if the Switch is only attractive to a small portion of the Chinese Market. That small portion would be huge since China's market is already huge with over 1.5 billion people. Let's say only 1/15th of the Chinese market is interested in the Switch. That's a market if 100 MILLION PEOPLE which that number alone would make any console a success.
