The VGChartz Gap charts are updated monthly and each article focuses on a different gap chart. The charts include comparisons between the 7th generation and 8th generation platforms, as well as comparisons within the 8th generation. All sales are worldwide, unless otherwise stated.

PS4 Vs. X360 US:

Gap change in latest month: 97,771 – X360

Gap change over last 12 months: 2,530,101 – X360

Total Lead: 2,139,312 – PS4

X360 Total Sales: 27,433,919

PS4 Total Sales: 29,573,231

In June 2019 the gap in the US between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox 360 grew in favor of the Xbox 360 when you align launches. The Xbox 360 sold 97,771 more units than the PlayStation 4 in the last month and by 2.53 million units in the last 12 months.  The PlayStation 4 currently leads by 2.14 million units.

The PlayStation 4 launched in the US on November 15, 2013, while the Xbox 360 launched on November 22, 2005. The PlayStation 4 has sold 29.57 million units in 68 months, while the Xbox 360 sold 27.43 million units during the same timeframe.

both of the charts really make me think of the charts with ps4&xb1 vs ps3&360, it is the almost the same lines, up and downs at the same places

We should see a cross in the near future. X360 did 49M. Can't imagine that PS4 will do the same.

actually xbox 360 sold around 44M in USA, 49M is the number for whole north america, so we are looking at 44M not 49M :)

I expect the PS4 to sell 35-38m in the US when it's all said and done,
