I don't like it. Not for me. Nothing will beat the Minecraft one.

The Minecraft one definitely is great looking.

Looks cool. But, I ain't buying any consoles this late in the generation. I probably wouldn't even replace a broken one at this point.

@AngryLittleAlchemist Impatient? The Xbox One has been out for six years. They're already working on their next hardware. They haven't released any notable games since the release the Xbox One X. How is that impatience? It's the reality of the situation. You're just an apologist if you can't see the blatant truth.

You replied to the wrong comment anyway Forza Horizon 4 says hello I guess you have been living under a rock for quiet a while now if you don't know about that game.

If only they'd put as much effort into games, as they do with different consoles and controllers....

Microsoft haters are some of the most impatient people on the planet it seems ...

I own PlayStation and Xbox, I like that I get very different products from both companies. I spent more time with Halo 5, Gears 4 and Forza Horizon over any Sony exclusive this gen.

@Angry Not sure how expecting decent exclusives from a console brand, that has been around for almost 2 decades, is somehow “hating”. For me, I spent $400 on a 2TB XB1S at launch, and haven't touched it since I finished Gears 4 in 2016. I was genuinely disappointed with my purchase and the lack of good exclusive content, as I'm really not into racing titles. Xbox still makes a lot of money for MS, we shouldn't still be patiently waiting for games after 18 years. That's why I'm personally glad i shifted over to PC and play Xbox's exclusives through W10; been very disappointed with their console this gen.

Because, hello, you have to be completely tone-deaf to not understand how obviously wrong the original statement was. Microsoft just bought a ton of studios in the last year and the responses from a large portion of this site has been to act like such acquisitions simply don't exist. Games take time. And that is not even taking into account that Microsoft most likely has put in more "effort" in their games than their controllers or consoles, seeing as how expensive game development is and most of their games get consistent updates. Then again effort can mean a lot of things and as a descriptor it's pretty meaningless without any explanation, which is probably why the comment is so garbage.

It is "hating" because it's completely false and ignorant. And while I think it is overtly obvious at this point that Microsoft should have been more forward thinking with how they handle their exclusives and studios, the past is the past. We are talking about the now. Not to mention they had enough leverage to entice many consumer during the 7th generation and be extremely competitive. So I do not see the reason to act as if we are talking about the entire history of Xbox, other than to pretend that's a compelling argument against impatience from recent studio acquisitions.

If you are happy with playing Microsoft exclusives on a PC instead of going out and buying an Xbox ... fine. What's the issue? Either way you are playing into Microsoft's business model. I'll never understand why the argument from people who don't like Xbox is to gloat about how they could just play any Xbox exclusive on the PC if they wanted to. Isn't that by design? How does that exactly make for a compelling argument against Microsoft? And you just got done saying how much you don't want to play Xbox games. Do you want to play Xbox games or not? And if you do, but don't want to pay for the Xbox, how is that a point against Xbox? Can two separate monetization models not exist? Maybe the Xbox just isn't for you ... and the creators of it actually recognize that.

Halo 5 is probably the exclusive that I have the most time in this generation across all consoles (maybe tied with BotW). But, I definitely think XB has had the weakest exclusive lineup this gen, by a mile. Just on the subject of Halo.... We're only getting one new mainline Halo this gen? That's weak. We should get a new Halo FPS, that's not a retread, about once every 3 years. Two or three per generation. The only other AAA stuff we get from MS is Forza, Horizon, and Gears. I think gears has lost it's shine. And, if you don't like racers, how many AAA games has XB given you this gen?

It is great that they're investing in new studios. I am an XB-first guy, and I truly want to see great content on XB. But, it's a stone cold fact that the first-party offerings have been few and far between this gen. MS needs to be held to a high standard. When they fall short of it, like this have this gen, they should be called out on it. That's not hating, that's legitimate criticism.

The arguments have effectively changed from a comment that is talking about how much effort they are putting into something, to a justification of being disappointed with what they've done in the past few years. That is not the same thing. The comment was talking about effort. Xbox is putting in effort *now*, the results are just not immediate because that's not how game development works. If his comment was talking exclusively past tense then maybe I could understand.

"If only they'd put as much effort into games, as they do with different consoles and controllers...."

This is not a valid criticism and it's a stretch to act like it is in any way.

Whether the OP intended it as valid criticism or not, I can't say. You may be right that he's just shit talking. But, I hold to my point - MS has not done a good job providing big games this generation. People are rightly going to point that out.

Sixteenvolt420 (on 27 May 2019)

It's not hating, it's truthful. Maybe next gen they'll have more exclusives with the acquisitions, but this gen has been pretty bare for them, compared to their competitors.

Chris Hu (on 27 May 2019)

@Sixteenvolt420 Yeah your are definitely hating especially since you don't even own a X1. But I guess some people love to hate or be salt all the time Skip Bayless made a career out of it.

Azzanation (on 28 May 2019)

@DialgaMarine - Developing studios dont make the consoles. A completely different company looks after the hardware. Games wont change if you took the controller and console skins away.
