Video game analyst Daniel Ahmad has stated the install base for the Nintendo Switch has surpassed 10.5 million units in the US, according to figures from NPD.

When you align the launch of the Nintendo Switch with the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the Switch in its first 22 months is ahead of the PlayStation 4 by 22 percent and the Xbox One by 34 percent.

Makes me wonder what the Switch's final US total will be when I look at where the PS4 and XB1 are at now and where THEY might end up.

Amnesia (on 25 January 2019)

10,5 x ...3,5 to have worldwide estimation ? so it could be 36,75M ??...

zorg1000 (on 25 January 2019)

Why are you assuming x3.5 for worldwide estimate?

I thought it was a reliable ratio for US/World, but it looks more like something around 3 or less.

No matter how angry people get at this fact it won't change the reality that the nintendo switch will not outsell the PS4 worldwide for lifetime sales. Thumbs down won't change this fact, I love my switch but I am a realist. It could however outsell the PS4 in Japan and the US.

And not much people are expecting it to anyway. You shoud check this thread to see people's initial expectations on the Switch LT Sales http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=224679&viewpoll=1

Like is it hard for you to congratulate the Switch on this amazing achievement which not many consoles will reacb these numbers.

I think it has a good chance since A: we have not even gotten a pricedrop yet and B: we have not seen a revision yet. These two factors will drive Switch sales even further. Looking forward to your reply, RF.

Pure facts RF. You got upvote. I dont think PS4 is capable to outsold Switch in 2019, by any realistic means, yes it will get some good games but I dont see a pricedrop for it.
