would love a collection of all the DS / 3DS games, they are amazing stories but go in trilogys normally, is this a standalone title? I've just played through the first trilogy on the DS, don't wanna spoil anything such as getting what the golden apple is spoiled via playing game 2 for example.

It is a sequel but set several years into the future and not truly connected to either of the previous triologies/ It features Layton's daughter as the sole protag. I can't remember any spoilers for earlier games in it so it's kinda standalone.

It will be interesting to see how they adapt the game for full console mode, without the aid of touch controlls.
