Jade Empire, Panzer Dragoon Orta, More Coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility Today - News

Larry Hryb announced that eight original Xbox games will be playable on the Xbox One starting today via backwards compatible. 11 more original Xbox games are confirmed to be coming to the Xbox One.

Here is the complete list of games available today:

  • Blinx: The Time Sweeper
  • Conker: Live & Reloaded
  • Breakdown
  • The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
  • Hunter: The Reckoning
  • Jade Empire
  • SSX3
  • Panzer Dragoon Orta

Legit first time i'm getting tempted to get an X1. Though only cause they never fixed PDOrta on the 360 backwards.

I wish MS revived Conker L&R multiplayer, I wanted to play it so bad but never had the chance. I'm still buying this game when I eventually get a XB1 though.

So do you need to own the original releases, or are these actually also available for purchase on Xbox Live?

Both. The download activates if you put the disc in, or (as the old discs are rare now) you can get them from the Xbox store.
