That is sure. The best Spiderman-Game ever is coming for the ultimate PS4, exclusiv of course!

Still not sure why this keeps coming into question. Insomniac confirmed it’s permanent exclusivity right after its E3 2016 announcement.

The story behind the games creation (Marvel gave IP to Sony because they dont want trash movie tie-in games and IG was chosen create it) was explained on Day 1, but of course this will be repeated forever for the ones who live under a rock and also the one's who hate exclusivity.

Who would think Spider-Man for which Sony have movie rights, Insominiac that was hired by Sony to make the game would have it exclusive... I couldn't ever guess.

After how Sunset Overdrive did on the Xbox One, is it really surprising?

Well even without SSO, Sony paying for the game on which they have rights for the movies would have almost 0 chance of being MP anyway.

Good to get a definitive answer on this. Now everyone knows it's ps4 exclusive and can move on. Buy the console or you can't play this. It's pretty straight forward.

not really suprised about that

I can understand why some would think this game could've been multipat since there were Spider-Man games last gen for the 360 and Wii U, and you see Spider-Man in the Lego games that are also multiplat. But I thought for this particular game it was more clear that this was a Sony exclusive and felt that everybody should've known by now.

Hard to believe some people still don't get that...

I LOVE YOU SPIDEY :D
im so happy sony has control of this it would be bad for console sales during black friday if this ended up going multiplatform like spyro is

If non PS4 owners want to play this game that much, they should buy a PS4. Simple as that.

At least until the PS5 remaster...

Still counts as playstation exclusive. They never said anything about specifically the PS4. So PS5 remaster confirmed?

I honestly believe remasters that are simple resolution/ FPS bumps are going away, at least in terms of PS exclusive titles. I’m willing to bet that PS5 will be BC with all PS4 games, and that all PS4 exclusives will make use of forwards compatibility by having performance updates, like on Pro.

Then I shall miss it even if Spider Gwen is playable... Actually, since it's Ms Bailey, I think I would pass anyways...

So I guess this means Sony will be making Spider-Man game forever? Kinda a big deal if PlayStation will be the only console to get Spider-Man games. Unless other publishers can also make Spider-Man games like Activision. Although insomniac’s games will be superior.

Throw in the pre-existing relationship between Sony and the Spider-man franchise for good measure. :)

It's OK we got him back up to positive votes! Jeez it was minus 6 when I read it.

It was negative 7. Then I upvoted him to bring it to 6. I didn't see anything wrong with what he said. It's actually pretty damn plausible as to why it's exclusive.

Thanks for having my back guys. I have a few enemies, but don't know who they are. They skulk in the shadows, and lurch forth from the darkness with thumb attacks.
