It's like the don't trust the target audience to know the roman numeral for 4

AlfredoTurkey (on 08 March 2018)

I kind of hope they just keep using capital I's so that way in ten years it will look like COD IIIIIIIIIIII

I'm ready to bet a million dollars, it's gonna be exactly the same as every cod game you've ever played

hunter_alien (on 08 March 2018)

Just out of curiosity, which was the last CoD you played? :-)

jason1637 (on 08 March 2018)

Well no. There's gonna be a new campaign and new maps, possible battle Royale mode and new weapons.

Game breaking glitches and all.

World war 2

ROCKY223 (on 08 March 2018)

NEW campaign? Running around for like 5-6 hours in a war zone isn't new or interesting. Speaking of battle royale, that thing is just a fad so there's nothing exciting about it. You're gonna see it in Alot of games now

ROCKY223
Pretty sure it's not going to be 'exactly the same as' WW2. Keep your million.

jason1637 (on 08 March 2018)

Lol what dude? before WW2 the last game that had you in a battlefeild for most of the campaign was lCoD World at War. The Cod games have a new campaign every year and they are actually pretty intresting and they have new maps every year and some times new gameplay mechanics. For example WW2 has divisions and Bo3 had specialist. These thing already make it different from the last CoD so youre wrong by saying it will be "exactly the same". And if it has Battle Royale its still new and different from all CoDs. Also there is nothing to suggest Batttle Royale is a fad. Fortnitehit over 40ml players a few weeks ago and PUBG has sold over 30ml units on xbox and PC and earlier today PUBG had over 2.5m concurrent player only on PC which is insane for a game that came out a year ago, Battle Royale aint a fad and it dont look like its going away anytime soon bud.

So what exactly do you want them to do? Fly around in space in an astronaut suit while using a grappling hook to punch people in the face?

...oh wait they've already done that.

I ACTually want this series to just stop

  • +1
jason1637 (on 09 March 2018)

Why would you want a series that millions love. If you don't like the games don't buy it.

  • +2
ROCKY223 (on 09 March 2018)

People love this series? That's a shocker and I haven't bought any cod game since advanced warfare

Masked_Muchaco (on 09 March 2018)

Why you keep commenting on articles about games you already made very clear you don't like or care?

Because I can and I will

Lmao if you can't handle opinions then stop using the Internet

TheGamer_1995 (on 08 March 2018)

Wow, they must be really terrified by Red Dead 2 to release it one month earlier than usual.

Seventizz (on 08 March 2018)

Or just smart? Personally, I doubt I'll get either on launch. I'll eventually get CoD during a sale, but RD2 isn't on my radar as I don't care for the western theme.

hunter_alien (on 08 March 2018)

Terrified? Why? Its not like there will be any more air left this Q4 on the Xone and PS4 and both will come out as winners. There is really no other way around this. BO4 and RDR2 will eat away at most games expens.

Meoden (on 09 March 2018)

Sorry Cod but...Smash killed your teaser.

Masked_Muchaco (on 09 March 2018)

Different audiences.

SecondWar (on 08 March 2018)

Erm... they stylised the 4 wrong.

Luke888 (on 08 March 2018)

Technically not. IIII, although being very rare, was used in ancient Rome and following civilizations for certain things that didn't need large numbers, probably because IIII was easier to write/sculpt than IV and/or more understandable for people like slaves, still there's proof of that in many cities here in Italy, I've seen many clock towers with the IIII instead of the IV

  • +2
Flilix (on 08 March 2018)

That doesn't make it any less wrong though. IV is the only correct way to write 4 in Roman numbers. IIII was already wrong in ancient Rome, and it's certainly wrong nowadays.

  • 0
Luke888 (on 08 March 2018)

honestly I think this is just a marketing move because they want something specular at the bottom, instead of complaining about IIII, hold your anger until BO6, that will be the interesting one

  • 0
Flilix (on 08 March 2018)

Can't wait for FIFA IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII.

  • +2
Seventizz (on 08 March 2018)

How is it wrong? If you put a line through the IIII, you get 5. Ever taken inventory of anything?

  • +1
SecondWar (on 08 March 2018)

Good point Seventizz. Just never seen that on a video game before.

Paatar (on 08 March 2018)

It's a tally...

  • +3
Flilix (on 08 March 2018)

Tally marks are never used in typed writing, only in handwriting.

tripenfall (on 08 March 2018)

One line for every loot box you'll need to buy maybe?

  • +2
Tryklon (on 08 March 2018)

It's correct, for god sake, stop being dumb and check stuff. Both IIII and IV are correct and were widely used by the romans! Play less and study history more!

  • 0
NightDragon83 (on 08 March 2018)

Hey, that's not how you spell IV!

You're right... I can't wait for Final Fantasy IIIIIIIIIIIIIIII to hit the market.

  • +1
Meoden (on 09 March 2018)

Seriously, Romans never write 4 like that, i take Latin in school when i was in France and the basics is after 3 barres you write IV, it's logical because when you are a limited space to write a thing it's logic to economize your space.

  • +1
Tryklon (on 11 March 2018)

So, Meoden, are you trying to teach an archaeologist how to write in latin numerals? IIII is called additive mode and IV is called subtractive mode. Study more history please.

adisababa (on 09 March 2018)

Weren't there rumors of this game coming to switch? Not like it could handle it without some serious cutbacks and sub 30fps but it would be cool to play online while in the bus.

Blood_Tears (on 08 March 2018)

Gonna be pretty big numbers for Christmas for PS4/X1 again. Both this and RDR2 aren't on switch either.

Kwaidd (on 08 March 2018)

It'd have to be really incredible for me to pony up and jump in once again. I haven't bought a CoD game since Ghosts. That said, Treyarch is my favorite dev of that bunch.

reviniente (on 08 March 2018)

Kwaidd
Mine as well.
