SNES Classic Preorders Available in Late August - News

Nintendo also said it will ship a "significant amount of additional systems" for launch day, as well as "throughout the balance of the calendar year."
Walmart opened up pre-orders for the SNES Classic Mini last week. However, all the pre-orders were later cancelled as it was a glitch in the system.

Those two minutes of availabilty will be remembered by many.
Nintendo better get the shipment numbers right. Honestly they should offer the EU/JP version as well in the US. Just put the US games in them. So they have extra units to sell.
I'm halfway tempted to buy one and sell the bulk of my SNES collection. The only game I'd need to keep would be Chrono Trigger, but I can get a DS copy of that easily.
Nintendo should stop releasing these things and focus on games.This is just a show piece that no one will remember after weeks and no one will even play it.
That's why they do it. Basically free money.
Preorders should be limited to one unit per person to avoid scalpers from getting tons of them.
