F1 2016 Sells an Estimated 143K Units First Week at Retail - Sales

The racing game from Codemasters - F1 2016 - sold 143,174 units first week at retail, according to our estimates. First week sales  can be viewed on the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart for the week ending August 20.

Breaking down the sales by platform, the game sold best on the PlayStation 4 with 100,895 units sold (70%), compared to 36,615 units sold on the Xbox One (26%).  It also sold 5,664 units on Windows PC (4%).

 

Breaking down the sales by region, the game sold best in Europe with 112,833 units sold (79%), compared to 11,817 units sold in the US (8%). Looking more closely at Europe, the game sold an estimated 28,446 units in the UK, 18,052 units in Germany, and 17,141 units in France. 

F1 2016 released worldwide on August 19 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
