Xbox Elite Controller Surpasses 1M Units Sold - News

The Xbox Elite controller was announced at Microsoft's E3 2015 press conference in June 2015 before releasing in October of the same year.

Uhm what? No, he never revealed that. All he said was they've MANUFACTURED 1,000,000 elite controllers. Considering the high failure rate they're probably around 700k sold at the most, a still impressive feat

Read the first comment. Two X boxes, three elite controllers, all broke. I'm reading that people mainly have issues with the left bumper? But yeah, these controllers are having high failure rates. We just can't be certain how high.

But a small sample of the posts you can find online from various forums regarding the issue. Since we don't have any sold through numbers, we know that of that 1,000,000 made there's a sizable chunk that had to go toward replacements and warranty returns. I think my 70% figure is within range.
