Sony to End Support for Ustream on August 1 - News

You will no longer be able to broadcast gameplay to Ustream or view Ustream broadcasts on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, PlayStation App.
You can still broadcast gameplay to YouTube, Twitch and dailymotion.

Ustream has been on a steady decline since Justin.tv and various other streaming APIs went offline. All the major gamers that streamed there moved over to twitch after it split off to become its own platform. I was surprised it was supported by PS4 to begin with
Too many people doing stupid things on it that got nothing to do with gaming. I'm not surprise by this and I think it's the right move.
They're not ending steaming. They're ending ustreaming. You can still broadcast anything you want via youtube.
Interesting, I wonder what prompted this decision.
It could be a number of things. Either UStream were not supporting it properly on PS4, not enough users to justify Sony to continue to use it or Twitch paid for streaming exclusivity.
