Along with the announcement of the next Call of Duty title, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Activision also revealed a remastered version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.

Activision has confirmed the game will not be sold separately and you will need to own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is a full game digital download that will be included in the Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe editions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," said Activision. "Internet connection required. You must own Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare in order to get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered."

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered boasts vibrant current generation visuals, with fully improved texture resolution and detail, high-dynamic range lighting, lit and shadowing VFX particles, revamped animation and audio, stunning sound and much more," added Activision.

"Fans will relive the full, iconic campaign as they’re transported around the globe with Capt. Price, Gaz and Soap across all the missions from the original game. Players will also experience the online multiplayer mode that redefined Call of Duty by introducing killstreaks, XP, Prestige and more, and battle head-to-head in 10 fan-favorite maps from the original multiplayer mode."

Thanks MCVUK.

lol yea right Activision will just keep this remaster as a collector's edition exclusive. All that work to remaster just for a few thousand copies? lol. Activision will definitely release this later in the future one way or another. They're just denying it now to increase preorder sales of the collectors edition.

Sure they will throw it on PSN/Xbox Live for £29.99 or so as stand alone digital copy just not a physical copy..

Probably, but they'll probably wait until after the launch of Infinite Warfare before doing so.

$80 for two CoD games is not a bad deal, I'm getting that.

It's called "easy profit". Sadly, if you bought Infinite Warfare legacy edition just for CoD4 remastered, it'll be only Infinite Warfare as one of top seller software of all time anyway. I wish they could release CoD Modern Warfare remake collection(all 3 games) retail/digital later.

I'm sure alot of people will be selling their codes for MW on Ebay and Amazon. I'll be hoping to pick one of those up.
