One Piece: Burning Blood Leads Strong Week of New Games in Japan - News

One Piece: Burning Blood leads a strong week in Japan as more than half the games in the top 20 are all new titles. One Piece: Burning Blood (PS4) debuted at the top of the Japanese charts with sales of 35,496 units, according to Media Create. The PlayStation Vita version debuted in second with sales of 32,68 units.

Bullet Girls 2 (PSV) debuted in fourth with sales of 17,224 units. Star Fox Zero / Star Fox Guard Double Pack (WiiU) debuted in fifth with sales of 17,114 units, while the standalone Star Fox Zero game sold 8,135 units.

 

The PlayStation 4 was the best-selling platform with sales of 20,589 units. The Nintendo 3DS sold 18,261 units, the PlayStation Vita sold 12,678 units, and the Wii U sold 5,868 units. The PlayStation 3 sold 1,153 units, and the Xbox One sold 101 units.

Yikes! Those Star Fox sales are abysmal! This doesn't look good for Japan.

I imagine they did much better in America. The preorder #s here were roughly 130k, so I expect much better over here.

It probably is. This game is tailored toward the U.S. audience anyway.
