by VGChartz Staff , posted on 16 February 2016 / 4,277 Views

Xbox One users will soon be able to play the original Dark Souls on the Xbox One, thanks to the game being added to the list of backwards compatible titles, according the Dark Souls 3's Australian Xbox store page

Those who pre order Dark Souls 3 will receive the original Dark Souls for free, at least in Australia. It's unclear as yet whether the deal will extend to other regions. Microsoft has yet to actually officially announce that Dark Souls will be added to the list of backwards compatible titles.

Dark Souls being added to the backwards compatibility list is pretty good they are kinda late with announcing the next batch of backwards compatible games.

Seriously - MS could set up a shop o the corner giving away free hamburgers - and some people on here would just complain that they're not giving away steaks. If you own DS1 on 360 - you've now got another console you can play it on. Gratis.

I would much rather a physical Remaster.

Just buy a physical copy of Dark Souls for like $5. X1 BC works with physical games too ya know.

I don't want BC, I have all the hardware I need for that. I want a Remaster so Blighttown isn't a joke

Strange. If PC has what you want why not buy a PC? The internet has lead me to believe when PC has what you there is no need for consoles.

It's BC. Not a Remaster. Digital.

I know that mate. They can include a digital code to download DS1 like bethesda did with fallout 4 which included fallout 3!

Oh, I thought you were referring to a physical copy of the BC, not BC coming with physical copies, too
