The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD to Feature Gameplay Improvements - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 04 February 2016 / 5,006 Views

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD will feature improved visuals, however, Nintendo has revealed the gameplay has also been improved.

Here are the gameplay changes:

  • The Wii U GamePad will let you view the game's map and transform into Wolf Link with just a single touch, speeding up the transition.
  • There's a new Ghost Lantern item which will glow when Poe Souls are nearby, making this lengthy sidequest easier.
  • There are now 12 Tears of Light to collect in each area, down from 16, again making this quicker.
  • Rupees will no longer remain in a treasure chest if your wallet is too full to pick them up
  • Wallets have been modified to hold more Rupees to accommodate this
  • Hero Mode is now available from the start. Link will take double damage and no health-replenishing hearts will appear in the world. Dungeons are also mirrored.
  • Dozens of Miiverse stamps have now been hidden in chests around the world.

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD releases on March 4th in North America and Europe, and on March 10th in Japan.

Thanks Eurogamer.

I can do without SS unless they add much more to it.

Ill take a SS on NX. Improvements obviously and if NX supports motion controls either fix them or have them able to turn off. I loved SS but the motion controls sucked so much.

They all seem pretty good improvements, but we still don't know anything about the length of the tutorial which is the biggest concern for everyone since the game was first revealed...

I wouldn't count on any change there due to story elements.

I don't recall ever being bothered by the slow start. That might be just me though.

Thankfully I didn't mind the tutorial at all (Except I was HORRIBLE at catching that fish on the Wii)

In hero mode dungeons are mirrored...meaning if we originally played on Wii, they'll be normal to us? :/
