GameStop Survey Asks What You Plan to Buy in Next 12 Months, Includes Nintendo NX - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 25 January 2016 / 4,733 ViewsA new survey from GameStop has asked what people intend to purchase in the next 12 months.
The survey includes the major VR headsets, the Oculus Rift, HTC Vive, PlayStation VR, and Samsung Gear VR, as well as the "Nintendo NX, or a new, Nintendo console."
That could suggest a 2016 release for the next Nintendo console. However, it could also mean GameStop is guessing Nintendo will release it this year and doesn't know when it will launch.
Thanks GoNintendo.

The suspense is killing me.
I pray to God that Nintendo doesn't mess this one up. I want them to succeed so bad but they have to want themselves to succeed too. They've shot themselves in the foot for too long. No CD capability, No DVD Capability, No HDD Capability, No HD Capability, hopefully they're going to at least include the basics that PS4 and Xbox One have.
PSVR is the only thing that i'm planning on buying right now. If i buy the NX or not, is going to depend on if the controller is as stupid as the Wii U one, or not.
Lol obviously!! Why would you think of buying something when we haven't even heard on what it could be.
We know nothing about it so thats a dumb question imo
It's just a guess; I doubt they know anything about it. Developers find out about systems early, but retailers don't have the "inside scoop".
nintendo consoles aren't setting the world on fire and with the downtrend of nintendo consoles sales I don't know if thathange will with NX.
GameCube was also on a downward spiral coming off the n64 gen then Wii came out and sold 100m so just because wiiu isn't doing much, doesn't mean the NX will follow the same path.
Same could be said for Sony and Microsoft and how they're both perform in compared to last gen.
It sounds like you don't know what you're talking about and just wanted to downplay Nintendo.
same could be said about sony? you mean sony who are with the ps4 outselling the ps3 and xbox 360?
I think you don't know what you are talking about, there is this one graph with sales of nintendo home consoles and excluding the wii it goes down and down with the sales with each new home console so yeah like I said it is more extremely unlikely than extremely likely.
"extremely likely" for a nintendo console? That's a good joke in this survey.
