Satoru Iwata to be Honored With Lifetime Achievement Award at DICE 2016 - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 13 January 2016 / 3,203 ViewsSatoru Iwata, the late Nintendo president who passed away in July 2015, is being honored with the Lifetime Achievement award at the 2016 DICE Awards.
The DICE Awards are being held in Las Vegas on February 18th.
The award is not handed out every year and is reserved for rare occasions. Previous winners include the Father of PlayStation Ken Kutaragi and former heads of Nintendo of America Minoru Arakawa and Howard Lincoln.
Iwata helped turn Nintendo's fortune around with the Nintendo DS and Wii and oversaw the launch of the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U.
