Platinum Games Apparently Developing TMNT: Mutants in Manhattan - News

by Craig S , posted on 30 November 2015 / 3,744 Views

Platinum Games is developing a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game that will be published Activision, according to this Australian Classification Board listing.

The Australian listing simply describes the title as being multiplatform, but this listing for Brazil suggests that the platforms in question are: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.

This is just one of several titles that the prolific Japanese-based firm is currently developing - the company is also working on Project Guard and Star Fox Zero for Nintendo, Scalebound for Microsoft, and Nier: Automata for Square Enix.

Platinum Games sure are busy these days. Lots of projects indeed. Hopefully they take it back to the old school turtles from the arcade games with the Platinum twist. I was hoping Rocksteady would do a Turtles game, but Platinum is the next best thing.

Oh and I never heard of Project Guard. PG LOVES Nintendo. LOL

Well they took Transformers back to its infinitely better roots after a horrible Hollywood outing, let's hope they can do the same for the Ninja Turtles.
I hope it's longer this time though.

Their licensed stuff hasn't been great. But hey, better than the usual licensed crap.

I hope they don't make the turtles look like the ones from the most recent movie... I have faith they wont though. They usually have good taste.

Hmm is it just me or are platinumgames feeling mille by know. With the pleasant exception of scalebound. This is probably going to be another game which playstation and deels like Bayonetta (as W101) with a crappy cheesy story and way, way over the top action. I thought my first platinumgame was awesome the second and third are still really good, although after my fourth it was getting the same old too much for me.

I wonder if they can juggle all of these projects without the quality suffering.

I would be extremely excited if this turns out well. I've been dying for an awesome TMNT game since the NES/SNES days.

Ninja Turtles is the perfect franchise for Platinum. They are very good at fast-paced action games. They can easily make a good game that plays similarly to the old Konagi Ninja Turtles games.

This could be something great. Platinum ooze fan service (look at Transformers Devastation)
Also seems as though Activision have taken a liking to Platinum.
