Wii U Top Selling Item on Black Friday Online at Target - News
by William D'Angelo , posted on 30 November 2015 / 5,225 ViewsThe Nintendo Wii U has struggled to gain traction ever since it launched three years ago, and has only recently passed the modest 10 million sold mark.
It looks like the platform isn't done for just yet, though; according to US retailer Target the Wii U was not just the best-selling video game console but was the best-selling item on all of Target.com on Black Friday.
"Gaming consoles were popular in stores and online, including Nintendo Wii U, which was the top selling item on Target.com," said the retailer.
Thanks VG24/7.

Congrats to the Wii U!
Great.
Is this for the entire Target online store or just for Target's video game department? Like this is good and all but I think the only article worth noting for Black Friday is what sold the most overall. Or else should we expect to see an article for top selling at Bestbuy, Gamespot, Walmart (etc.) as well?
It's good news, even if small in the grand scheme of things, but still, not bad. If it had a reasonable price, it may have done ok everywhere.
Now that the Wii U has a growing install base with software and hardware sales increasing...
Let's release the Nintendo NX and stop supporting Wii U! Sounds logical right?
I wanted a Nintendo HD console as much as the next gamer but to drop support altogether for the Wii(a console that still dominates a lot of casual gamers' dens or living rooms) was a bad decision. here's hoping the NX is something unique along the lines of a portable console hybrid and not another console 'just because.'
Confirmed, mom's really like Target.com.
