The free-to-play version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 that was discovered after being listed by the Australian Classification Board just a couple of days ago has been confirmed by Konami.

Not only that but it's releasing as early next month, on 8th December for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Konami describes the games as an 'entry level' version of PES 2016 in which you can opt to play as one of seven different teams in Exhibition mode, and can access the Training mode and MyClub features.

It will also "be compatible with all future gameplay and content updates throughout the entire PES 2016 season".

Good enough for me. I'm not too big on sports games but this will be enough to satisfy my soccer needs, like how Drive Club PS Plus edition did for my racing needs.

So not Xbox? That's a bad move considering Fifa is successful on Xbox.

But maybe the free version of this game isn't coming to Xbox because of issues with MS.
